This place is serving up the best street tacos in the area. Hands down. Call in and it’s ready to pick up in under 10 mins.

Arguably the best tacos in Eugene/Springfield. Generous opening hours, excellent prices, and the real deal when it comes to street taco flavor. You’re missing out if you don’t check El Trenecito out!

Birthday tacos are a tradition
This year we tried El Trenecito.
A long awaited visit since they are not open every day, and we usually miss them, or drive by when they are open but we are on errands.
Wow. Amazing carnitas. I got the quesadilla.
So good.
The little baggies of sauce are reminders of my wilder days.
Street parking only.

The carne asada tacos were so good that one bite made me cry from sudden homesickness. If you’re a transplant from down south like me, and you’ve wondered where the authentic food is in town – this is it. I’d rate ten stars if I could.

Best Mexican food in the Eugene / Springfield hands down! Love this spot! I always get the carne asada tacos with the green sauce. You can’t go wrong with pretty much anything at this spot. Keep up the great work!

Delicious food! Quite hot outside though since no umbrellas had been put out so we got our food to go. That habanero salsa was amazing and had some heat!

A small, unassuming hidden gem in Springfield for Mexican eats. Chorizo burrito was filling and delicious. Both salsas were also very tasty and unique with a great consistency.

This is the best taqueria I’ve found in the area so far, and I make an effort to seek them out. I ordered three different tacos, and everything was cooked to order and delicious. From the tortillas to the salsa, these tacos made me very happy. Not the place if you’re looking for a sit-down sort of ambiance, but a darn good taco spot nonetheless!

Now this isn’t a five star restaurant in the traditional sense. If you’re looking for up scale dining this is the last place you want to dine. Although, if you’re familiar with roadside taquerias you will love this place! Delicious and authentic! Nice selection of meats. We will definitely come back! There are a few mismatching tables and chairs if you choose to “dine in” which adds to its character.

I came here after reading some positive reviews on Nextdoor. I enjoyed my burrito. The man who took my order was super nice and seemed appreciative of my business.
Now for the stuff you NEED to know about this place… its basically a house with a small building added onto it that functions as a front counter. The dining area is outside at a patio table in plastic chairs. I get the sense that this is primarily a takeout place. The neighbors to re restraunt all seem to be nice people as well… but this is a residential neighborhood… so people are chillin’ with their dogs in their front yards and living their lives. This is fine for me. Some people may not like the very “street-level” vibe, though.
