Love, Love Love El Toro on Blosser and Main. Food is Amazing, we visit Santa Maria often and before we head back, we make sure to grab El Toro before we leave for the long drive home. Rice, beans, Tamales, Asada, tortillas and Chicharons are Amazing and our favorites.

Expect discrimination if you are not Mexican and do not speak Spanish! Waited in a long line only to be completely ignored by the staff who took the order of the person behind me instead, when it was my turn. Had to go to the cashier to order who finally told him to make my order. And the man reluctantly made my order. Once I got my food the burrito was small and dry: no cheese, sour cream, or salsa. Just beans, rice, and only a little bit of meat; when I told them I wanted everything on it. Seriously a let down. These people only want to serve their people. I’ve never had worse customer service than this. My family and I wont be back.

The food is great, very flavorful but the customer service needs a bit of improvement, they are always rushing through your order and seem bothered when you have questions.

They have 2 locations and when I asked about camera footage because there was an incident and needed it for insurance there response was “this has happened before when people come in and ask for things like this. My higer ups are just going to tell you it’s not there problem and they won’t give you any video they always do that” unbelievable response.

Very authentic and fresh spot. Sauces and meats all very fresh and tasty. Quick service and friendly people. My only complaint is how loud it is inside, everything else was fantastic. Standing eating area was nice as well.

What was once the best tortilla and quick yummy food place has turned into the worst. Tortillas are no longer warm once purchased and personally mine pack of tortillas last less thank a week before they are turning bad. They taste awesome once purchased but it makes my stomach turn when i see all the colors that mold appears in I hope their production team can work something out. Am I trippen because this BLUE in between ALL tortillas doesnt see normal.

Chicken tamales were okay but greasy. Customer service is above and beyond good. Tamales were not ready but they went ahead and made me some.

I love this place — the food is amazing, and the tamales are my absolute favorite! The only thing is they always sell out of tamales super early, usually before 10 AM. I wish they could prepare more in the mornings so everyone gets a chance to enjoy them!

Best Mexican food in California. Everytime I am back in Santa Maria this place demands a mandatory stop. Their rice and beans are delicious and hands down the best carnitas I’ve had out of my own kitchen.
