El toro is great! Food, atmosphere, and service was all great. I ordered Steak and chicken fajitas, which I would definitely order again. Chicken and steak we’re both very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Newer restaurant to Milford that you should definitely check out.
Update: went back for another dine in experience and the food was completely different from our first experience- definitely not the same quality.

Highly recommend!! The food is amazing, service is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. I recommend the chicken with mole sauce, the steak chimichanga, the flautas, the fried ice cream and chili relleno.

We went to El Toro Mexican Restaurant in Milford for dinner tonight, a Friday night, and were quite disappointed. We waited about 40 minutes for our food, and it was not great. The chicken tacos had a weird taste, and they messed up my husband’s order. He asked for a burrito but was given an enchilada instead, and the server insisted it was a burrito. My husband is Latino, so he definitely knows the difference! Additionally, the steak tacos were pink, so we couldn’t eat them. While the server was very friendly, the service was slow and inattentive, which made the overall dining experience frustrating. On a positive note, the ambiance was welcoming. However, while the menu had a variety of options, the quality did not justify the prices. We wish them luck but will not be going again.

I’ve been searching for good Mexican food after moving back to the northeast from Texas. The food here tasted like the Tex-Mex I loved in Austin and hadn’t been able to find until coming here. This place has a pleasant atmosphere with a nice view of the marsh. It looks like you can sit on the deck overlooking the view in nice weather. They had a good looking drink menu and even had frozen margaritas like in Texas. They also had Oaxacan coffee. We will definitely be coming back to this place.

Food not good. Mole enchiladas seemed like they were sitting under a heat lamp all day. No flavor, dry chicken.
The plus is the wait staff is super sweet, so extra stars for that.
But there’s much better Mexican to be found in the area.

New Mexican place. Decor nice, menu a bit different with great choices. Went with a small group and we ordered different items. Most were very happy with their choice. Mine was extremely salty. I mentioned that to others as we left. One other gal said she felt the same. Never had this issue before. I use salt in my cooking so I’m not that sensitive to it. They need to up the spices and cut the salt.

I highly recommend this place ,is a pretty new restaurant in Milford ct…..as soon as we seat down and eat the fresh home made salsa ( NO FROM THE CAN )and chips I knew right on that the food was going to be good ,and sure enough the food was delicious and the service was very good the staff is very friendly, I ordered steak Ranchero and was delicious and my wife had a delicious combo plate also the dessert .was good…..give it a try and you’ll love it
