We were soooo disappointed. Ordered a variety of things and everything was substandard or burned beyond recognition. Most disappointed in their “sopapillas”. Instead of receiving a soft, pillowy, pocket of warm deliciousness we got a burned tortilla drenched in cinnamon.Yuck!

I was not that impressed, the street tacos were pretty salty and that’s a go margaritas were Really weak! There’s a ton of Mexican restaurants here in Nashville that is excellent, I just don’t think this is one of my favorites!! But for the record I only ate there one time and maybe it was one of those things where the cook was off His is or her game that day! But for now I am rating this place three stars, and I will go back once again just to make sure and if it’s better than my first visit I will update my review!

Nice atmosphere, very clean, server very friendly and handy with refills and assistance, the food was great. I only gave it a 4 star since I didn’t see chili rejenoes on the menu. To be fair I didn’t ask if the did have them because I also love the spinach enchiladas and they were great.

This place was not what I expected at all! I came during a Sunday the place it’s self is small but boy was it busy! We had to wait for a table it took less the 5 minutes. The place is very clean and organized beautiful place. The waiter we got was amazing! So nice and respectful! Drinks were so good! The food was delicious! I will say though the meals portion are a little small in our opinion! I didn’t leave full and I always tend to take my left overs home but not at this place. I do still recommend it for sure !!! I will definitely be back !

We came in at peak dinner time. The place was packed! The host was very friendly. He warned us before seating that they were short staffed and 1 of the 2 cooks was in training. We totally appreciated the upfront honestly! We were in no hurry so we sat and ate chips and drank some adult beverages. Food was FANTASTIC, service FANTASTIC! Food came out slower than your typical Mexican meal ( which is usually lightening fast ). It felt more like the typical slower American meal service. Lol

Great food and service, we were sat pretty quickly and our food was brought out hot and fresh. The taste was different from other Mexican restaurants so that left me a little shocked and I almost didn’t eat my food but I gave it another go and thoroughly enjoyed it. The waitress was nice and understanding when I botched some words and replaced a dish that I pronounced incorrectly and was given a dish similar to what I said (it was the wrong dish as I said the name wrong).

This was our first visit. We liked the reviews. Our server was very polite. The food was good. We ordered a shrimp chimaganga and a plate of Enchiladas plus one. Extremely fast service and the food came out hot. There’s a bar in the back. We enjoyed our visit. The house was full. It’s a nice addition to the Hermitage area for dining.

Looking for authentic Mexican in Donelson? I think you’ll be happy with this place. I just moved to the area and have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant. Price is Right! Friendly waitstaff. They also give you an extra hour for a lunch menu till 3:00. Most others cut it off at 2:00.
