Big serving and food tastes good. Venue is clean and staff are friendly and they always check on us. I’m not exactly sure about the area but they could have fix the front better, because I was a little hesitant about this place just looking from the outside. But once your in everything looks good and authentic

Was a bit skeptical about going based on things we had heard. We’ve been long time fans of the Washington location and that we would just be disappointed by coming to this location. But but had a great meal and didn’t find any reason to not come back here.
Love their Crab Enchiladas! Its my ho to meal there.

Had lunch with my adult kids recently. They had fajitas and I had enchiladas. Both were hot & delicious. We had 2 waiters checking on us at all times. Our cups was never empty. We will visit there again soon.

Every time we’re in Houston, El Tiempo Cantina is a must-visit for us, so when we discovered a location in Katy, we didn’t hesitate to check it out. Once again, they did not disappoint. The margaritas were excellent—strong, flavorful, and one was more than enough! The chips and salsa were fresh and perfectly seasoned, setting the tone for a great meal. We went on a Monday when they do “kids eat free”! Our order came out without any issues, and the service was smooth throughout. El Tiempo continues to impress across locations, and we truly can’t say enough good things about this restaurant chain.

The food and the lady manager are INCREDIBLE.
We were seated and forgotten. After about 10 minutes we were about to just leave and the manager made everything ok.
Then the food made things even better!
The food is incredible and it’s staffed by people that care about every single customer.
Probably some of the best fajitas I’ve had in America.

My first visit was phenomenal, which is why I came back—and I brought friends! There were three of us total, and one person generously covered the entire bill. After paying, our waiter returned and directly asked for a larger tip, explaining that he had to split it with others. I’ve honestly never had that happen before, and it made the end of our experience uncomfortable.
I’m not sure what the original tip amount was, but I can say with confidence it was a fair reflection of the service. On top of that, both I and another guest personally handed him extra cash. The moment felt unnecessary and off-putting, especially considering we were all satisfied up to that point. Just wanted to share for awareness—this isn’t what I expect when returning to a place I was excited about.

We went for breakfast this past Sunday and the service and food was great! My only complaint is that the external seating area away from main dining area doesn’t seem to have working speakers for music. Its super quiet and ackward on that side. I asked the waiter if they could turn music on, but nothing. Can something be done about this as it really brings down the overall dining experience. I’ve been seated her before and same experience.

I was so disappointed tonight when I went to the Katy location. This used to be my favorite restaurant and I was looking forward to sitting down to a great meal. Unfortunately it was not. We ordered the shrimp and ribs. The tiny little shrimp were boiled I think and not grilled and the ribs were so dry but they did have a pretty good flavor. The Charro Beans were also served luke warm. What happened to this resturant? The tortilla chips were a disappointment as well. They were very thick. I don’t recommend them if you have had any dental work or have dentures. The melted butter that was served was so heavy with garlic, I could not eat it. Even the green sauce had a heavy portion of garlic and the red sauce was oily and had a really bad taste. Please bring back the food that you used to serve. You had such a great flavor profile. It is sad to see that those wonderful flavors that you used to create might be gone forever. On a positive note, the service was outstanding, and the hostess that seated us was friendly and welcoming.
