I love this place
Fresh and delicious food !
Huge variety of different meats and flavors you can put on any Authentic tacos
Made with fresh home made corn tortillas!
I get the “Sope” that has a thicker corn tortilla and
Reminds me of polenta almost, it’s amazing when eaten fresh and in house
It’s crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside,
I got the “Cecina” (salted beef)
with lettuce, crema and the avocado on top is great.
Also highly recommend the burritos
I got the chicken burrito,
The rice and beans, peppers, guacamole and cheese is always fresh and it’s pretty huge
Best value for real food around hands down
Try a “fruit water” aka agua de Frutas
I got tamarind… it’s awesome, brought back memories of childhood
Awesome place
Try it out

Service is great at this authentic Mexican restaurant. Food quality is above average but could be a little better; meats are lower quality and prepared a little strangely in that they are minced. Everything is fresh, though, as is the creamy guac and tasty homemade salsa. Pretty good considering the area is a bit of a food desert! Would recommend above other options for sure.

This place is super cute. Enough parking. The chips and salsa weren’t fresh not my favorite. The mango margarita wasn’t so flavorful. My homegirl had the chicken tacos and loved it. I had shrimp tacos and I loved mine. Very flavorful and the green sauce was perfect. The customer service could haven been better she didn’t look up once I couldn’t even order a different drink. She never brought water.I would order to go next time

A gem. My daughter and I went after my wife happened upon this place. Very authentic decor and nice music for excellent atmosphere as you walk in. The server got to us right away, told us about the specials (Birria tacos and chimichangas), gave us menus and asked us our drink request. Very clean! Also Bathroom was Very clean! We looked over the menu and decided on tacos. Shrimp, flank steak, chicken, and Birria tacos.
As we were looking over the menu, our server brought us chips and salsa, which were very good.
And then, WOW! They came with onion and. Cilantro, the tacos and the Birria tacos, which came with a red sauce and guacamole. Mmmm . My daughter and I couldn’t get enough. Absolutely delicious.
Just a great place, with a great server, and comfortable atmosphere that felt like home away from home. Highly recommend.

From our experience, we enjoyed the food, the only dish that we did not enjoy was the stake, it was not prepare at the point. However the tacos were amazing!! That is a win also the Enchiladas, one of the best enchiladas that I have had. Maybe their specialty are the tacos, enchiladas, fajitas because we notice that those are the most popular dishes. If we comeback we will ask for the tacos, enchiladas, fajitas and maybe just one new dish just to try and let you know how was it. The waitress was very kind, however there is a guy, that I think was mad when we asked for the stake to cooked it properly. Conclusión, great place, great decoration, great tacos, great enchiladas, I am not giving them 5 stars only for the stake that was not good. Will I comeback? Yes.

Situated in Monticello, El Tequilero Mexican Restaurant stands out as the absolute best in town! Their tacos are a taste sensation, and the drinks are absolutely legit. The small brother business impresses with their devoted online and phone order service – quick and never missing a beat. I love going to this place for an authentic and satisfying Mexican dining experience.

I was nicely greeted by Luz the waitress/bartender that particular day whom treated me like a prince throughout the entire experience.
She prepared nice drinks and was very attentive, always with a welcoming smile.
After awhile I decided to order some grub, and was not disappointed at all. It tasted very authentic, and the ingredients were really fresh which made it that much more
enjoyable.
I would definitely recommend this eatery, and wouldn’t hesitate to come back to it time and time again.
BTW they’re kind enough to serve complimentary chips and salsa.
Thanks Luz…you were a total doll, and you’ll see me there hopefully very soon!

This was honestly some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in the state. Excellent guacamole and salsas. Every taco I had was great, but the lengths and chorizo were my favorite. Friendly service! We’re already planning our return trip.

Cute n’ cozy lil hole-in-the-wall restaurant, always what i look for and always a go-to for me. I was staying at the Kartrite and wanted to explore the food nearby. I stumbled upon this mexican restaurant, and I am so glad I did! Food was excellent; however, I must say though…im not a fan of cactus (had it here for the first time just cuz it came with the food) anyhow, must try! We ordered the chicken fajita, steak and shrimp (which came with the cactus) and for dessert, tres leches and flan… ALL SOOO GOOD!
