Living Life
The food was good. They weren’t very accommodating when we ask for kid friendly dishes, not meals. The waitress had an bad attitude towards severe allergies. We were ignored by staff. The portion sizes our very small for there prices. Food could use more flavor. One of the person in our group almost fell to the ground because they mopped the floor leaving it extremely wet.

Food and atmosphere was great. It gets pretty busy so it might take a while for you to get situated down or you’ll have to sit yourself down. There was live music when I was here but I’m not sure if it was restaurant ordered or ordered by a customer. There’s tv and a table to sit at to have fun and drink with friends. Kid friendly but a bit crowded if the place is full. Parking across the street is limited if it’s busy and it fills up quick. wheelchair accessible.

We dined at this location on a Friday night and had a great time! The location was energetic with live music and groups of people that were enjoying each other’s company and the food. Service was attentive and fast. The menu is very extensive and offers so many varieties of seafood that it was difficult to make a decision, but I finally settled on the Molcajete Cora as my entree. I like a little spice in my food, mild to medium, but this was hot, so be forewarned. That being said, the flavor was so delicious that I ended up eating every bite and started to enjoy the heat tingle emanating from my lips. When we were seated, we were provided chips and salsa which I also found spicier than what would usually be provided in a restaurant. The flavor of the salsa was fresh and rich and my wife ate every bit of it. She also loved her spicy shrimp and commented that for once she did not need to add hot sauce. The oysters with shrimp ceviche were divine. and the price was fantastic. We’ll definitely be returning.

The family wanted some real, authentic Mexican food. We ventured out to this place and I am very glad we did! The food was flavorful and mouthwatering. The shrimp cocktail was HUGE and delicious. The Trophy Wife had tacos al pastor and she gave it two thumbs up. If you like seafood, this place has it all too. I will be coming back for more…

Pleasantly surprised is how I describe this wonderful dining experience. Established 4 years ago, El Tecate serves up large portions of seafood, libations, and atmosphere. When you walk in you will hear very loud music and smiling faces. You’ll need to walk to the counter and then pick your seat and the waitress will follow you with menus. The menu is extremely extensive so pick a drink and spend 10 minutes browsing. I chose the strawberry margarita and it was delicious. After thoroughly going over the menu, I picked the Molcajete Mar y Tierra. This volcano of meat and veggies not only filled my stomach but was visually appealing. We also ordered the Mojarra con camarones a la Diabla. This is a whole Tilapia deep fried and covered in a slightly spicy sauce and shrimp. It was delicious. The food, the atmosphere, the service, and the drinks were all top notch. Do yourself a favor and eat here immediately.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and they have yet to disappoint. The majority of their food is seafood but I decided yo taste their queso birria tacos and all I can say is WOW!!! These beef tacos were AMAZING!! They are not spicy and the consomé you dip them in is sooooo good!! You must try this place. Also be ready to hear loud Spanish music while you eat. This isn’t a place for quiet conversation. Stop by, have a Michelada and be ready to enjoy really good food!
