If I could write a review on just to mole sauce, it would be a 900/10. I cannot even explain how great it is.

But that’s starting from somewhere in the middle, so let me jump back…

The chips and salsa were great! The chips come with three different salsas and they’re all great (see attached for consistency and color profiles). The orange salsa was spicy, but the flavor was so addicting! The green had a kick too, and the flavor was nice and crisp. The main salsa was pretty standard, but great. I would go back for chips and salsa any time!

So we did a mix of dishes to get a flavor of the menu:

– Quesabirria plate: amazing rice and beans. Meat was flavorful, a bit light on the cilantro/onions, but nothing to get mad about. The tortilla was flavorful and well cooked. The consumme was subpar and lacked flavor. Would get the quesabirria again, but maybe dip it in the bean dip/mole (more on that in a bit).

– Super Wet Burrito: huge portion. We will probably be eating this monster for another two days. The flavors didn’t really pop, but when you add the salsas and mole it was super tasty. The sauces really saved the day!

– Flautas: Well fried, and super flavorful! The guacamole was amazing on the side. We got a side of bean dip to go with, and definitely loved it. Especially since the bean dip is about half beans and half mole. I don’t know what’s in the mole, but clearly, I’m obsessed.

– Enchiladas: I did one chicken, one carnitas with red sauce (of course). The carnitas enchilada will be my go to order from here on out! Absolutely out of this world phenomenal! So rich and bright. Loved everything about it 10/10 no notes.

– Tacos: We ordered two asada tacos and I wouldn’t go for them again. They pile on the meat, the tortillas were tasty, tons of cilantro and onions, and they served with lemon which I thought was really nice since I’m so used to lime. With that being said, the meat was a big dry to my taste and lacked flavor. I would go for the tacos again, but maybe not the carne asada.

Pupusa: We got a bean and cheese pupusa and my wife and son really liked it. It was a bit tough for my liking, but the sauce and picked veg were nice. The picked veg was bright and cut thru the heaviness of the sauce and pupusa.

Next time we’ll have to try some desserts, but the menu tour left us all way too stuffed!

As an opening note (8/23/25), they have bottled beer, Jarritos, and a few types of canned sodas. No fountain drinks and I don’t recall them having beers on tap either. I failed to ask, so just a heads up if you’re looking for a tap pint/soda.

This location is just opening but the food is as great as the Brentwood location. The quesobirria tacos are the best. Definitely a must try. I hope this location thrives.

It’s a new restaurant but still has the same feel of the rent that was there before. Lotta things to work out and make smoother. Food was OK but the atmosphere still feels like you’re in a hospital lunchroom it’s so bright and so light and they don’t have a lot of things in house yet as far as choosing a beer or wine And I thought the food was good enough to try again later when they’ve been open a little longer

Walked in nobody said anything walk to counter and ask do we just sit down we sat down. They brought menus under staff didn’t bring chips and salsa. We order our food was cold salsa was watered down. I think pace salsa is better. We had to ask for chips and salsa never came back check on us. See if he wanted more water. They asked how things were told them. It was OK did not have concern. Will not be going back anytime soon

I’ve been here 3x. It’s great food! I’m sure when a business first opens there are some hiccups. So if you rates lower, you should come again. This location for us is good for Oakley. The people working are very nice. The food is fabulous. I was impressed!!

We passed by on a Friday night right before closing. They ran out of carnitas so we tried carne asada, Al pastor, and lengua tacos. I would pass on the carne asada next time. It’s a shredded type of meat instead of the usual chopped up meat. The al pastor was great as well as the lengua (super soft).
