It’s in a food court so atmosphere isn’t really in their control.
That being said. Absolutely delicious. We tried the loaded carne asada fries and carne asada torta. Meat was well flavored. The fries were definitely fully loaded. We didn’t wait long and it was all fresh.

We’ve dined here four times since last summer and it’s always been a great experience! The food and service are consistent. We always have the same male server with glasses and he has a great attitude and we like how he calls us ‘amigos’ and seems genuine about it. Their margaritas always have the perfect mix of ingredients; not tasting one item more so over the other. We’ll keep coming back and don’t mind passing up that other place near the park I’ve written about.

Best Mexican food in Louisville. We’re on a first name basis here as a family. They treat you like family here. Fair prices, super authentic, delicious, amazing service. This is Louisville’s best kept secret restaurant. I come here for birthdays, and when people come to visit, to show them the best restaurant around. Fast, friendly, delicious. What more do you need?

My Word is My Life
Update 11-01-2022: Despite having lost my best friend/sister, I decided to act as if she were still with me, today. So I forced myself to give a three strikes place a fourth chance, unheard of from me. I am light weight grateful that I did. They seem to have taken a turn and seem to be coming back to quality.
Definitely something that I had hoped for. I used to eat here all of the time.
Still a ways to go, to be back on par with what you were, let’s hope you persevere and exceed your prior quality! *great addition to your staff!
Definitely has gone downhill in quality not sure how I feel about that right now.
Update 2: The pork has dropped in quality a lot. They will charge you for extra onions but you don’t get them, twice now. I don’t think I’ll be going back again, for a while. I’ll give them one more chance in a few months and if it’s still bad, they will be off my list.
Update: A little strange for here, my dinner order didn’t come with lettuce and tomato, like it usually does. Found out, they changed the menu. If a person would like the lettuce and tomato, they will gladly bring it out to you. If they can save some of their costs, so it isn’t passed on to us, I’m all good with that! Still 5 stars for taste and friendly staff.

First visit: Ordered the build your own combos. Chunky guacamole was pretty good, hot salsa is a must here. Service was excellent. Will definitely go back. Second visit: totally different experience. Went for lunch birra tacos. Service was pretty much non existent and food lacked all flavor. Very disappointing.

Ordered El Tarasco door dash delivery. I use to eat there a long time ago. It was a great little Mexican restaurant…. Sadly now I was very underwhelmed on the food, quality of food and portions size has gone way down. Got the fajitas trio the steak was uncut, chicken was uncut and the shrimp were miniscule. The flavor wasn’t good… They were incredibly stingy on onions and peppers… With our delivery fees it cost over $60 definitely not worth it. I guess I will not be ordering anything from there.

Went for lunch, fajitas were served on a plate as opposed to on a sizzling skillet which is unusual compared to other Mexican restaurants. Meat portion was a bit small. Server was nice and prompt. No Mexican music was playing so that took away from the ambiance of being in a Mexican restaurant. Food was fresh and good though
