I’ve been eating at taco veloz over 20 years. Recently ordered a steak burrito and found aluminum inside the burrito mixed in with the steak. I noticed after chewing what seemed to be tough piece of meat I spit it out just to be cautious because I’ve had issues in the past with certain restaurants and finding foreign objects that don’t belong in the food. I got terribly sick for the next 48 hours. Probably not safe for gringos

Really tasty, occasionally the workers mess up but as long as you politely as for them to fix the mistake they will. Its really good , so if you want to support real mexican businesses chose them

I got carne asada tacos and they were really good. Immediately fell apart upon trying to eat them but good. I got a chicken quesadilla and it’s solid. Not a lot of flavor, just chicken and cheese. They give you raw onions and jalapeños on the side. Would have been better maybe if they were on the inside. Chips and salsa were a complete bust and why I took one star off. The chips tasted old and very stale. If they came as a compliment to the order I would not care but when you charge $2.50 then make sure they’re good and these were horrible. Overall food vs staff vs money is say a 7.5 overall. I will probably go back and just get tacos.

Always horrible service and food is unacceptable for the price. I always have to ask for extra meat on my nachos because the amount they put is ridiculous. The “extra” I get charged for is MAYBE 1oz. This time I asked for avocado and got 3 thinly sliced pieces and got charged $3 which ended up as the price of the supreme nachos for just 3 pieces of avocado.. not a single employee ever cares all I get told is “that’s how it comes” or “you can call this number” and the women at the front usually have an attitude when you ask anything or complain about the food.

Fresh and authentic. They take their time to make things right but still fast service. The churros are amazeballs!

Authentic Mexican food at very reasonable prices. The food is always served hot and fresh. The dining room was carefully marked to promote social distancing when we last visited.

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant with great flavor. If your looking for Tex-Mex or tacobell type food, you won’t enjoy it. The Tacos are delicious, the Huevos Divorciados are excellent. They also have a little bar with different Salsas, Chiles, etc that you can consume to your liking. They are open 7 days a week from 7am until 11pm and until 12am on the weekends. Oh and for those who are wondering if they have Menudo, the answer is Yes. Hope you enjoy it as I did.

Drive thru has been slacking in the evenings. Don’t know if my order was taken or not until I get to the window. Ladies managing the drive thru recently seem to be all over the place. Wasn’t like this before so not sure what’s going on.

Their food is disgusting. The order I received was incorrect, soggy and completely inedible. No one wants to eat a oily quesadilla. The tacos fell apart while unwrapping the aluminum foil. They refused to refund me. I will not recommend this place to anyone nor will I ever order again.

El Taco Veloz is one of the best places to get Mexican food. And this time it didn’t disappoint. I had a Carne Asada burrito and I agree with Anthony Bourdain (He selected El Taco Veloz on Roswell Rd. as the best place to get burritos and tacos in Atlanta). So I’ll be back anytime I’m on this side of town. Bon appetite!
