This place is not as good as the original one on Pulaski. Their prices also seemed slightly higher and the portions are smaller. The food here is just your average at best. I had the bistec a la Mexicana and the meat had too much gristle and lots of onion. They do have a very good selection of your typical Mexican dishes and they also have a few tables so you can dine inside. If I’m in the neighborhood, I may give them another chance, but I won’t go out of my way to come here.

Small Mexican restaurant located in a strip alongside other businesses. There was a sign posted on the door as I walked in that read: carne de lomo en chile de árbol and that’s what I went with. The waitress warned me that it was going to be EXTREMELY HOT and it WAS! But it was exactly what I wanted. I was really happy with my meal and would come back.

Over all love the place! I have been going for 6 years now! Customer service is wonderful! It is bilingual for spanish and English it is family owned! Food is top tier! Over all I really recommend the tamarind water or agua de tamarindo!
