Great food and service at El Taco Mañanero! I highly recommend the half chicken plate with rice and charro beans. Even with a full house, seating was quick and easy. My coworkers loved their meals too. Excellent quality for a reasonable price—definitely a great spot for a group lunch in Mission!

This was our 1st time here. We had been wanting to come here for a long time based on the reviews. 1st, the prices on the food is excellent, with very generous portions served on the plate. Unfortunately, when we walked up to order, we weren’t greeted. The lady asked us for our order ( not friendly) and couldn’t hear what she was telling us. We told her, I’m sorry and motioned with our hand to our ear that we couldn’t hear. She got frustrated, and the
other lady told us that we could pick 2 meat choices. That’s a pretty good deal. The other lady, one could tell was having a bad day. The food itself was OK. The flour tortillias were excellent.

This restaurant is set up like a cafeteria, you make your order up front. They also got BBQ! Food was good, prices were good. The establishment is very clean and big enough to bring the family.

This place is a must try. I ordered the mole plate and it was delicious. Food was seasoned perfectly and very well served. The lunch plate came with 2 sides, 3 fluffy tortillas and salsas. I was sooo full after I finished the plate and enjoyed every bite. If you havent tried this place then you are missing out. 8.9/10 hit them up!!

So I drive by this location at least once a month while working…and always see it packed outside…so my foodie senses would tingle to find out what was the lure?
Well…I’m still puzzled by it. First I do want to reiterate…3 stars IS NOT bad…it means average.
So why 3 stars…well one you enter the place it feels a little discombobulated inside. There’s like 3 different sections you can approach to order… depending on what you want to order. Imagine going into McDonald’s and they tell you if you want to order hamburgers…go to counter #1…go to counter #2 for chicken based items…and counter #3 for deserts. There’s no ordering focal point.
This place has 3 basic ideas it seems…BBQ/fajita items, tacos, and basic traditional Mexican plates. I decided to go with traditional enchiladas verdes….and check the pic…where are they? Hidden under a nice mound of lettuce and tomatoes. I do like my veggies…but you can always place that on the side considering the lettuce will wet the tortilla even more…making for soggy enchiladas.
You can tell the rice and beans are basic…which they were. The kicker for me was the 1980s plastic plate…and the store bought Kraft sour cream packet they gave me for my enchiladas…nice touch for the presentation. There were also a few flies buzzing near me…which I don’t mind …but definitely noted.
The place is a very open design…feels like an adult day care converted into an eatery. The place is fairly priced… not overly high prices. However I will definitely not be trusting my foodie senses as much as I used to.

Ordered lunch early. It was amazing. Everything was hot and delicious. Homemade tortillas for the win. Fajita was delicious and ️ Chiles with cheese were perfect.

Well first time here the sincronizada was good, my sister ordered some flautas and the chicken didn’t have any flavor there wasn’t even any inside like I heard alot about this place being very good but nope it wasn’t so I won’t be coming back and I won’t recommend honestly not worth the prize or taste.
