10/10. I love that this is down the street!! I seriously feel so lucky! I love the avenue so much and I love El Taco de Jerez, I’ve loved everything I’ve ever had from the tacos to the torta to the burritos. 10/10 every time and everyone is so sweet!

When I’m craving street food tacos, El Taco de Jerez is the move. This is not a “play it safe” taco situation, and I love that for me. If you’re sticking to asada or chicken, that’s fine… more lengua and tripa for the rest of us.
The lengua is tender and full of flavor, and the tripa is done right. Crispy, satisfying, and not chewy or weird. My tacos came pre-garnished with chopped onion and cilantro, which they confirm when you order. Appreciate the respect.
And let’s talk about the champurrado. So good, especially on a cooler evening. Comfort in a cup and the perfect post-taco sip.
They also have other menu options like burritos, tortas, mulitas, and quesadillas if tacos aren’t your thing (but honestly, get the tacos). They usually add sliced cucumbers and limes on the side, and you’ll get one salsa by default, so if you like it saucy, just ask for more.
The cashier was friendly, and they call out your number pretty quickly. This is a takeout, stand-on-the-sidewalk kind of spot and that’s exactly how it should be. There are a couple tables and chairs if you want to eat on the fly. Street parking only. If you’re craving legit street tacos and aren’t afraid to order off the “non-basic” menu, this one’s for you.

Excellent meat. Salsa on point. Of my 5 tacos, cabesa was my favorite. Suadero, pastor, asada, and chicken were all really good. Service was fast. Good ratios of meat to tortilla to salsa. They have tables in the parking lot. I look forward to eating more.

We were visiting for 4 days in Ventura, and this by far blew the socks off of anything we tried. The quality, speed at which it’s made, and TASTE of this food was absolutely incredible. Do not miss this spot if you’re in town, you’ll regret it.

My partner reports the tacos are delicious. I opted for a veggie burrito which was HUGE and affordable, though basic. That said, genuine value in food is hard to come by recently, so I am giving the overall experience 5 stars. The location was easy to find and the counter staff was extremely kind and efficient. It was worth a visit.

I’ve eaten here three times. The owner takes pride in his business and it shows. I have now had the piggy tacos twice and can highly recommend them. They are medium sized and packed full of delicious ingredients. I will try to be more descriptive in the future and add photos. If you want great Mexican food, give this clean taco truck a try.
