First time here when I’ve been to gatlinburg many times. I would have to say it is now my favorite Mexican restaurant that I’ve had the opportunity to eat. We had the fajitas for 2 and there were amazing. Could have just a touch more of meat and it would had been perfect. We also had the dip sampler to try everything thing they had to offer. Their chips are thin and really good and their salsa was really good as well. We will definitely be back for this place again!

We had early dinner and it was delicious. After long time we had delicious and nicely presented Mexican drink. Their in-house mocktails are really delicious and must try.

Spice level is moderate. You need to explicitly request to make it Spicy. They charged us $1 for Spicy salsa which was mild spicy but delicious.

Visited with a group of 3 dozen people and we all enjoyed the food, very friendly staff, and we appreciate that they were easily able to accommodate a group our size! I had a jumbo margarita and it was beautifully presented and tasty!

I recently visited El Soñador Mexican Restaurant for dinner. The experience was overall okay but didn’t quite meet my expectations.

The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, with colorful decorations that gave it a festive vibe. However, the seating was a bit cramped, and it got a little too noisy during peak hours, which made it hard to have a conversation.

As for the food, it was a mixed bag. The salsa and chips were tasty, and I enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients. I ordered the enchiladas, which were decent, but the flavors were a bit bland and didn’t stand out. The portions were generous, but I felt like the food could have been seasoned better.

Service was alright; the staff was friendly but seemed a bit rushed. Our server checked on us a couple of times, but it took longer

Been a while since me and my partner had been in Gatlinburg, and she was craving a burrito. Decided to try El Soñador out of the available options, and did not regret it.
Cannot recommend the Burrito Mexicano enough.

Price was reasonable and what you’d expect from a location here.

Clearly one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. Starting from their salsa and chips to their specialty entree, everything was on point. Reasonable pricing with plenty of portion size. I had so much leftovers.

Went here in Saturday Night. To start with this ace is on 3rd floor and the elevator was no working. The place was extremely busy. There was 2 big parties from what I can understand. We were seated within 5 minutes of being there. Our server was nice and friendly. But had messed up our order due to our both miscommunication. Their spicy salsa was really spicy, which I really liked. Food was average. Service was slow. Limited vegetarian options and I was told they are bot able to substitute anything on the menu, so for example they are not able to remove chicken and add veggies to one of the wet burritos, which I can understand that every restaurant has their ways. So basically limited with substitutions which limits items to order vegetarian/ vegan. The prices are sort of on higher end for the quality of food we had. Overall 3/5 ⭐️.

We had a friendly greeting & seated quickly. Our order was prepared quickly & served hot! All our dishes were excellent. The restaurant is on the 3rd floor with little signage, just keep going up the stairs. It was very good. I would recommend!

El Soñador Mexican Restaurant in Gatlinburg delivers delicious, authentic flavors with generous portions and friendly service. The Fajitas are especially flavorful, and the fresh salsa is a standout. A cozy, welcoming atmosphere makes it perfect for families. Definitely a must-visit for anyone craving quality Mexican food in the Smokies! Only thing lacking in they have no liquor license only beer serve.

Do not sleep on this restaurant! The location is a little off the main strip and up on the second floor (there’s an elevator) so you could easily miss it. We sought it out specifically because they serve octopus which we love. It did not disappoint and ended up being one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! We started with the octopus appetizer as well as the octopus and shrimp ceviche and they were OUTSTANDING. The flavors were spot on and the seafood was incredibly tender. Then I had the el pastor burrito covered in queso! I have no words. If I could give this food 10 stars I would. The beans were delicious as well – even my husband ate some and he never eats refried beans. My husband had the carne asada fajitas which he said were good but not as incredible as the rest of our meal. Even their free chips and salsa were delicious. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Gatlinburg.
