This is a little gem tucked away that is keeping a secret of delicious food that is perfectly presented. We visited on a Sunday around 1pm. It was low key with about 5 other parties besides us. However, It looks like it could be lively at night by the fully stocked bar. So glad we chose spot! We’ll be back for sure!

El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant is a good restaurant. Our waitress was good. She took our order and we ordered fajitas for two but made it actually for three. And it was plenty of food for all three of us. The chips were good but I didn’t enjoy the salsa. It was extremely mild but I prefer salsa with a little bit of heat. This is a very large restaurant. They can accommodate a lot of customers at one time. The food was good. We recommend this restaurant.

Will not be back here. Ordered a lunch special it was supposed to be 12.99 I was charges separately for beans rice my two cheese enchiladas and one taco instead of the flat price. Plus gratuity added. Sucks!

We pulled off on a road trip starving. This restaurant was right next to the highway. The food was delicious. The portions were HUGE, too much for one person. We had the veggie fajitas and steak fajitas. Both were great. Service was friendly, attentive, and fast.

I’ve given this location chance after chance and it’s always something that makes me leave wishing I never came here, and now I will remember to not to again. To start a couple got seated after us, ordered after us, yet got their food before us, not sure if it’s because I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, which when it came to my table I was immediately thrown off. After trying to season it and mixing it around I decided I couldn’t even bring myself TO TRY IT, I know how chicken tortilla soup looks and that’s what I was expecting so this just threw my appetite off. I asked for it to be removed from the bill as I DIDNT EVEN TRY IT? And the waitress who barely speaks English got someone else to see what the issue was, anyway, they ended up giving me a check with the soup still on it so I went to the front counter to pay, but first have this removed. Then the I assume owner approached and asked the issue, I told him, and he asked then what kind of soup did you receive to which I said I’m not even sure??! I showed him a picture of how this soup should look, and he just said whatever and walked away.. like alright. I personally wasn’t rude about it I just didn’t want to pay for something that I didn’t even touch? lol so rude

Food was cold, service was spotty at best, and I am SO disappointed that they completely gutted this place and made it look sterile. I miss the warm lighting and authentic feeling. It’s gone. This was my favorite Mexican place for years and I will never be back. I’m so sad.

Food is great, atmosphere is great. Service is fast. Carlos was very attentive, but I ordered chicken instead of beef, it was still delish’. I ate it all. Salsa is good, not best, but still good. I was unaware you had to go to register to pay, so be prepared to stand in line.
