I ordered over the phone a large meat soup.
I got there, paid for it and took the soup, which was wrapped up in a bag. I didn’t see the soup, but the guy who handed me the soup and took my payment told me that they put a lot of pieces of vegetables and other things and, if I wanted to have more broth in the soup, that I could do it by adding more water and salt and it will be enough. I thought “ok”.
When I got home I realized that the guy sold me only a container full of vegetables and one little piece of meat in it, it looks like what he sold me was just the left overs of the soup and the arepa that comes with the soup, was very hard and looked like old (see picture). I called and talked to him and he offered to give me another soup when I got back to the restaurant. Hellooo… so I had to go back to get it right, when they should have done it since the begining. I told him to give me my money back and he agreed to it, but he needed to talk to the owner. We’ll see if they are actually going to reimburse me.

We had no idea what to order but the help there explained the menu for us. The food was very good 10 out of 10.

I’ve had Venezuela food before. But this place is different. They make it different. The food here is bursting with flavor. Served warm and crispy and saucy! And Good size portions. They have English and Spanish menus. I also had a soda that the server suggested. It was like a cherry cream soda. It was good. My server was very nice and patient with helping me order. The food came out fairly quick. They didn’t check in me after that. Which was fine. But it took awhile for me to get their attention to get my check. The place was getting busy.

My goodness, food this good makes me want to learn Spanish TODAY. Sheesh! Had the beef plate, rice, black beans, sweet plantains.. Simple, but GOOD! Highly Recommend this restaurant. Oh, one more thing, ask for the green garlic sauce, adds an extra flare to the taste that makes this undeniable. Not spicy either, just straight up GOOD!

Holy cow! The food here is amazing! The only Venezuelan food I had tried before was arepas, so that is what I planned to get. Then they showed us the menu. The Cabimera was INCREDIBLE! That is what everyone got, and every single one of us loved it! They are so big my daughter and I shared one and still couldn’t finish. Serious flavor explosion! A definite MUST TRY!
