I used to drive 35-40 minutes to get to this restaurant. Now I live much closer. It’s awesome. The staff is always lovely. And their carnitas are the best I’ve ever had, easily. Don’t tell my daughter because she makes really yummy carnitas; but Senior Sol has got her beat. YuM. Decades ago my best friend and I were always looking for a good Mexican restaurant. When we found Villa del Sol in Lakewood we were so happy. And I brought many friends and family to that restaurant and they loved it too. Eventually it closed, but by then I knew that anything that said del Sol was (probably) owned by one of the brothers. When I tasted the green chili I would know for sure whether or not it was the same family. But shout out to Willy. I always knew if Willy had been at the green chili because he was the best. I miss him.

Im always looking for good green chili and this did not disappoint. The combo w/ a burrito, enchilada & relleno was flavorful and the Fajita Burrito was great as well.
Cozy, clean atmosphere and sincerely attentive and helpful staff will have me back soon.

Enjoyed a very nice dinner with family. Atmosphere was nice, staff was welcoming and helpful! Checked back often to see how everything was and if we needed anything. Overall a great experience! I would definitely recommend this place!

Food was almost inedible, and I have had chicharrones before. Staff kept checking on us every 60 seconds after we paid almost as if they were trying to kick us out. $18.50 for a house margarita FYI. Do yourself a favor and go to La Fogata or Los Dos Portillos, same price and far better food quality and service. Will not be returning.

Wow! Had lunch there this last Tuesday. My sister and I are long time customers (thru both long closures). We have had the taco salad that has always been delicious. Not this time. First the salad was delivered in the customary shell with liquid seeping at an alarming rate out of the bottom of the shell. Apparently when the meat was put in the shell a slotted spoon was not used hence the liquid. Needless to say the bottom of the shell was just mush. We asked for another plate that didn’t have all the liquid. Then as we were eating we realized there were no beans in the shell (the salad description absolutely said there were beans). When we asked the server she said they were out of beans. WHAT!!!!! Perhaps she could of told us that, we would have changed our order. We were comped one of the salads. My sister and I often try new restaurants and several times they are a “one and done”. If this had been our first time at this restaurant we definitely would not ever go back. Perhaps we will give it another chance but seriously! Owner or manager, this is a mistake that should never have been made.

We used to come here fairly often but have not been back since the reopening after the building was damaged. Pleased to say that the food is still delicious and service is friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!
