We had a great little early dinner at the bar here. Shelby our server made us great margaritas and was very attentive. Only disappointment was a 3% kitchen appreciation fee added to our bill. Hope they take that off in the future.

We’ve been visiting our son who just recently moved to the Vail Valley, and have enjoyed trying all the restaurants the town of Eagle has to offer! Our experience at El Segundo was enjoyable. The service and atmosphere was exceptional, but the food was lacking. We ordered the ceviche and it came out looking a little “gray” in color, and tasted as if it had been sitting out for a little longer than it should have. The chips and queso were delicious, and I really enjoyed my taco salad. My husband ordered the crispy pork belly taco, the cod, and the hot Korean taco. The Hot Korean was the only one he enjoyed enough to finish, and it just seemed like the prices were a little high for the portions we received! However the service and atmosphere were enough to want to visit again, so we will be back on our next visit to Eagle!

Wow. The food was… not too great. It’s either a hit or miss when you eat at El Segundo. A friend and I had their nachos and it was fine while eating at the restaurant but after we left, we felt super sick. The nachos didn’t look so appetizing but we still ate them. As for the atmosphere, it was interesting; the music 1/10 (they play some sort of inspirational songs you’d hear on facebook posts lol), the table we sat at 1/10 (super small. Considering their plates are huge, they should expand their table sizes). The staff and service was fine, although they looked super rushed. I understand that there is a staff shortage in the valley but damn. Since it was raining, they had their staff rush all the plates and drinks inside; resulting in many bottles and plates falling to the ground and breaking lots of glass (which kept happening even before the rain). If the customers were more aware of their surroundings, this most likely wouldn’t have happened (someone bumped into the waiter holding the plates and cups). When El Segundo first opened up in Eagle, it was great but as of recent, I do not think I will recommend this restaurant to any new visitors.

Love this place! Best chipotle shrimp and cod tacos we have ever had and I generally dislike seafood tacos. However these are soooo good. Don’t expect traditional Mexican food, it’s got a special flare which I love. The margaritas are magical, strong and potent! One marg will definitely give you a nice buzz. Big room, nice bar and outdoor seating on veranda with a view. Have eaten there 3 x and it’s consistently good.

Love the pozole and queso here but room for improvement on their online ordering systems. On three separate online orders over a couple of months..they didn’t know about the order until I arrived to pick it up (after I received a text that it was ready). They threw the food together quickly while I waited.

Food was good. Would go give it a second try BUT hygiene IS THE WORST. Waitress ate something behind the bar, spit it out in her hand and continued to make a drink. Bartender and servers use their BARE hands to pick out lemons from a container. Bartender was touching EVERYTHING, her hair, face etc and making drinks. Had to ask when we would get service as no one who was walking around was interested. Too bad there was no supervision

Update: Been here a few more times since my original review. Had a few of the tacos they were really good. I do feel like the tacos are slightly overpriced. In comparison, a really good taco place in Glenwood that we go to, is $13.70 for 2 larger tacos with chips/salsa. /We just had a few margaritas and ceviche. Ceviche was excellent. Best I’ve had in a long time. We used to live closer to the city and loved Ceviche at Los Dos Patrillos, but this is better. Service was great and Margs were strong!
