The food was very good. The anticuchos were the best I’ve ever had, and the lomo saltado was also very delicious. The only downside was that the meat was a bit tough even though it was cooked medium. The ceviche was tasty and came with a toston (fried plantain). Overall, the restaurant is very beautiful and is divided into two kitchens: Peruvian and Palestinian

Went out for a Halloween date night. I was the parking queen this evening and found a street spot almost immediately! Street parking on U street can fill up fast, so I highly recommend taking public transit or arriving early if you can.
A stylish spot with great ambiance, perfect for a date night, special occasion, or a lively dinner with friends. They recently changed their menu, so a heads-up if you you are checking Google or Yelp photos for dishes, look at the most recent ones since some older items may no longer be available like gnocchi lomo saltado. 🙁
Service was friendly and attentive, but even though we were the only table dining at the time, the food took quite a while to come out. So make sure to pay for at least two hours of parking! Portions are very generous, and while prices are on the higher side, you do get what you pay for.
We started with the Jalea Mixta, an assorted deep-fried seafood platter with pickled red onion salsa and garlic aioli. It reminded me of calamari with extra seafood, tangy and flavorful. For my entree, I ordered he Arroz con Mariscos, a creamy, cheesy seafood risotto like dish served in a sizzling cast-iron skillet that kept the dish hot the entire meal — amazing! Hubby got the Frijoles con Seco, slow-braised beef in cilantro sauce with Peruvian beans and rice. He enjoyed it, though the beef was a bit dry for my taste.

I loved this place. From the atmosphere to the food to the service. My friend, who frequents the restaurant, took me there last night. We went for some Palestinian food, which I had never tried. And damn, it was just delicious. An explosion of new flavors and combinations never experienced before. The food was amazing, and the dessert? Oh la la! With cheese! That was amazing! I will have this as a must go when in DC! I can’t wait to go back!!

This was really disappointing. The atmosphere is great, with live music and beautiful decorations. However, the service was incredibly slow and drinks ordered before dinner did not arrive until after we were done eating — and even that required us to flag someone down. Our waitress disappeared for long periods and we never saw her. No one was checking on us or refilling waters etc.
I had the arroz chaufa. The rice was excellent and it came with a sweet barbecue type sauce, but adding chicken was $8 and it was the smallest, toughest grilled chicken breast you could imagine. The aji de gallina was good, but the potato was ice cold while everything else was warm. The starters, like the ceviche, were excellent and unfortunately that quality did not stick around.
Dinner took over two hours!! Insane.

Had never tried Peruvian food before but this place had excellent dishes. The dinner was wonderfully flavored and the drinks were excellent! Bartender was very attentive without rushing. And the atmosphere was very cool, the decor giving a very Peruvian feel and live music keeping a good vibe in the air. Great spot, will definitely come back when I’m DC again!

Such a great atmosphere. Felt like we were at someone’s home and not a restaurant. So great to see younger individuals being so attentive and respectful as employees. Someone is doing a great job!! The drinks were yummy, the food was delish!! I believe I finally found a place in the DMV area that I really enjoyed their ceviche (no tilapia)!! Can’t wait to return & try other dishes!!

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the experience my group and I had at your restaurant on January 31.
We had a reservation scheduled for 7:00 PM and arrived approximately 10 minutes early. Unfortunately, our table was not ready, and we were required to wait an additional 40 minutes before being seated. Despite this delay, shortly after arriving we were informed that we would need to leave by 9:00 PM due to a private event scheduled afterward, even though we had just been seated.
Concerned, we spoke with a manager, who assured us multiple times that there was no issue and that we could take our time, enjoy our evening, and even cut our cake without feeling rushed. We asked again around 9:15 PM and received the same reassurance.
However, at approximately 9:30 PM, the owner of the restaurant arrived and loudly confronted us in front of other guests, stating that we needed to leave immediately and that the restaurant had already been “very patient” with us by giving us extra time. This was extremely embarrassing and unprofessional, especially since we had never been clearly notified of a strict time limit beforehand and had already confirmed multiple times with management that everything was fine.
We fully understand that businesses may have scheduling constraints, but the manner in which this situation was handled—particularly being yelled at publicly while we were paying customers—was unacceptable. A discreet and respectful conversation would have been more than sufficient, and we would have understood and left without any issue.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and address this situation to ensure future guests are treated with professionalism and respect.

We had a reservation at 7:00 and were first told we had to leave by 9:00, then suddenly told to take our time. The food was bland with no flavor, and the owner was extremely rude and disrespectful, eventually kicking us out with a terrible attitude. The waitresses were very kind and apologized, but overall the experience was absolutely not worth it.

Fantastic restaurant, my family and I went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The ambiance is great, good classic salsa at a volume that allows you to have a conversation, delicious food. We ordered ceviches, a fried seafood platter.

A very popular restaurant, and rightly so, the decor is unique, our wait person was very informative (we were a party of seven and first thing after she welcomed us was to state that they’re going to add 20% tip on top of the bill automatically) and she was really nice. The tableware was really pretty, the food was well presented, arrived hot, and in a timely fashion, everything was yummy, I had risotto. I think they are well known for their cocktails, but I didn’t have one. It was a celebration dinner so we had their Spanish champagne in flutes to do our speeches. It was a really nice evening. We sat inside, but they do have some outdoor seating. Patrons came in and just sat at the bar and had a drink as well. It’s street parking, and there seemed to be spots available on a Friday night. The ladies bathroom is really pretty (I got photos ) I made the reservation about three weeks in advance and they sent me a text right away to confirm and they sent a text the day beforehand, which I thought was very nice as it confirmed to me that they were expecting us on our special night.
