Bland! Dry! Even the limes were dry. Absolutely no flavor, should provide salt and pepper packets. They give nice size portions but tiny sauces. The sour cream was Daisy, it wasn’t authentic. They had the audacity to add $3 for the sour cream after I’d already paid for the order. I would never order again! I do not recommend.

The worst tacos I’ve ever had. Flavorless & some meat was hard some was very fatty. The pictures online show you get multiple red & green sauces. I only received 2 red sauces. Red sauce was good & was the only thing that added flavor. Limes were dry & I barely received onion & cilantro. Waste of $20 added a picture of the hard meat. It was like eating dog food.

I ordered on DoorDash the green chili plate, my meat and beans were cold like straight out of the fridge and had a bay leaf in it still, my boyfriends quesadilla was dry and thrown in the to go box with no care, this place needs to be shut down, I’ve had nothing but problems with them and this is the last straw, I will contact a health inspector since they want to serve meat that is cold

Honest Review

The Agua de Jamaica was refreshing just needed a little more sugar, but once I added some, it was perfect.

My husband ordered the barbacoa quesadilla, and he really liked it. It was big and filling. He also had the al pastor burrito, but since we’re used to Houston-style burritos, we expected it to come with beans, rice, lettuce, avocado, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Instead, it only had the meat he chose. It felt more like a large flour taco than a traditional burrito it really should be labeled differently on the menu.

I ordered the green chile plate and asked what kind of meat it came with. The waitress said pork, so I expected asado de puerco en salsa verde. But what I got tasted more like brisket or roasted beef with a green sauce. It didn’t taste like pork, and the salsa verde didn’t taste like traditional green tomatillo sauce either. I was disappointed with the entrée, but the beans and rice were really good.

I also asked if the tortillas were homemade, and the waitress said yes. I ordered corn tortillas, but they were clearly packaged and not made in-house.

The chips and salsa were tasty, but the salsa was a bit too spicy for me (even though I’m Mexican, my stomach can’t handle a lot of spice lately). My husband also tried the chile con queso, but it was very clumpy and not enjoyable.

One thing they definitely need to improve is the menu descriptions. Many dishes don’t say what kind of meat they come with, which makes it hard to know what you’re ordering.

We also got three paletas frías (Mexican frozen popsicles) and a bag of Mexican Cheetos, and the total came out to around $39 not too bad for everything we ordered.

The salsa was wonderful. All the dishes were hot and delicious. Will definitely stop by again when we drive through town. The servers were very sweet.
The restaurant was rather quiet. Parking was kinda crazy and the bathrooms could use a little maintenance.

The food was pretty good. The salsa was delicious and fresh. My husband got tacos and they were phenomenal and definitely worth the price. I got the menudo. It was good but a little spicy for my taste. I’ll definitely return.

Gave four stars because of the wait time. We didn’t get chips and salsa until 15 minutes after our order was taken and the food took even longer to arrive.

We’re traveling east and stopped in Big Springs for the night. Looked up local restaurants. Was a little skeptical at first. But the food was so good. Everything we ordered was delicious. I wanted to leave a review because it’s very well deserved.

Went by three different spots trying to find a breakfast burrito on this side of town on a Saturday morning, this was the only one open and it did not disappoint. Ordered a hamburger meat with potatoes. Not really complaining but… I guess it’s been awhile since I paid for a breakfast burrito, this one was $6. Don’t ever remember paying that much for one, but also beats having to make it myself and glad it was open, and the food was really good so the 6 bucks was well worth it this morning. Watch out for that RED SAUCE!! The lady at the window told me it was HOT and I was like yeah I’m good, yeah naw it was good but super hot! Overall, great experience and I will definitely return.

I had an enchilada plate de res with red enchilada sauce. It was very good. Their service was good. Chips and salsa on the house. I ordered a side order of tortillas. They were home made. Only thing I did not like is they serve only bottled water. No refills on water. The enchilada plate was $8.99. The food reminded me of the Mexican restaurants in Laredo. The water is only $1. It was good for the money I spent.
