El Sazu in Long Beach has a nice atmosphere and the food itself was decent once it arrived. However, the service timing could use improvement. The food took quite a while to come out, and unfortunately the margaritas were served after the meal, which took away from the overall experience. Aside from the wait and drink timing, everything else was okay, and the flavors were enjoyable. With better pacing and coordination, this spot could be much better.

I came in with 3 of my friends and we all got the taco Tuesday special. The waitress was very nice and the wait was not too long. I was so surprised how much meat comes on the tacos. It was unreal. Also probably the best suadero tacos I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back.

I placed an order for pick up 2 hard shell tacos and 1 enchilada they put all the cold toppings for my hard shell tacos on top of my hot enchilada and then put my hot hard shell tacos on top of the cold toppings and beans making the tacos soggy I called to complain about my order and the girl who took my order said it was because I ordered it as a combo that it comes on the same plate NO I didn’t eat at the restaurant where same plate would be ok it’s a Togo and you don’t put cold food on hot food and hot hard shell tacos on top of cold food if I wanted soggy tacos I would have ordered soft not hard WASTE of $20 save your money go somewhere else.

The atmosphere and service of this restaurant is pretty good, our server was really nice. However, the food is not as good. It’s expensive, and my carne asada taco was really greasy, but the meat was very dry, firm, barely seasoned, and tasteless, I believe the meat was either overcooked or frozen.
My wife got the veggie taco and found small pieces of meat in it.

I can say I use to go to the other location fr 14 years but since they open this location it more convenient and the service is great. The food is on point every time. Food is always served in a timely manner. You guys never disappoint.

This place is soooo good! My only thing is that every time I go the prices go up. I’m sorry 3 small taquitos costing $14 is ridiculous. Mind you they are small. So imagine a large tortilla, realistically it’s 1.5 taquitos.
So with a soup, taquitos, and a drink it was $41 not including tip.
As of today I’m no longer returning. It’s not worth it.
It should not cost over $50 a person for Mexican food lol

I don’t usually leave bad reviews but I ate here twice and both times it was really bad. This was a shrimp quesadilla that fell apart because the tortilla was so greasy. It was stuffed with steamed broccoli and steamed carrots and tiny cocktail shrimp. Super weird. Maybe this place is a front for something because cooking is not their forté.

Nachos should be more than refried beans, chicken, and cheese thrown on a huge plate of chips. No flavor, no seasoning, and no peppers. Just an ocean of cheese and refried beans lacking any cohesiveness or skill. For $17 just another southern Cal mexican restaurant among many. Will not go back.
