El Santo was a masked real-life hero and legend of Mexican sports, who never revealed his true identity to his fans or his country. The famous luchador (wrestler) is restaurant founder Alejandro Diaz’s childhood hero. El Santo reveals the best of contemporary Mexican cuisine for you to experience and enjoy. Since opening its doors in 2015 Executive Chef Sam Fabbro has prided itself on supporting local merchants. Both the bar program and food menu are a reflection of the fantastic ingredients of the Pacific Northwest, with a Mexican twist. Together they’ve created a menu that includes popular Mexican favourites and regional specialties you won’t find anywhere else on the Canadian coast -right down to their house-made corn tortillas.
Contemporary, upscale Mexican dishes pair with cocktails, wine & tequila in a trendy setting.

The Carne Ahumada was incredibly tender and paired perfectly with the mashed potatoes.
The Pan de Elote was my favorite and totally exceeded my expectations—fluffy, slightly sweet, and amazing with the jalapeño jelly. The Pastor Tacos were super flavorful too. And a special shoutout to our server Roberta, who was so warm and full of smiles. Would definitely come back !
With no other options, we ordered chips and three salsas. They came out in less than a minute, which felt odd — the salsas were very cold, like straight from the fridge, and the chips were so hard they were difficult to chew.
We also ordered tacos (2 for $17). They were decent — nothing special, but definitely better than the chips and salsa.
Nobody checked on us or asked how things were. Overall, the place looks good, but the service and food quality were disappointing.
The al pastor tacos felt we were eating burnt bits of meat. Felt horrible…ngl
The pescado tacos was 90% batter and 10% fish.
Let’s not forget that EACH OF THR TACOS WAS $17!!!
They were having a Drag show? at that time, no problem with the show at all but it was so loud we had no choice to eat outside in the cold.
Was unsatisfied in general.
Food was fresh and well made, served quickly despite how busy the restaurant was. Roberta is such a great server and offered great recommendations accommodating our needs. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time.
Restaurant is efficient in picking calls, answering questions, making reservations and attention to details.
Our server Estefania was so kind and cooperative, explains dishes in detail.
I loved the flavours of all the dishes we ordered, you need to specify your spice level and they will do needful to serve you well.
