We tried El Santito when it first opened and it was very good then and some how it’s gotten even better!!! So if you’re reading this and you haven’t been back in a while, GO!!!
Recently, we were visiting Minden (we live out of town) and El Santito was the only restaurant open late night, which we LOVE! The food is absolutely amazing. This is the only spot with true sour cream enchiladas. My husband got the fajitas and said that they are the best steak fajitas that he has ever had.
The service was exceptional, we absolutely loved our waitress Emily, she was so attentive and had amazing recommendations. The atmosphere was also amazing. This spot is such a gem & we cannot wait to be back!!!

I have nothing bad to say about this place! From the food to the drinks to the staff and atmosphere everything was such a fantastic experience! We like to go at least once a week because we just can’t enough of this place. My michelada was amazing and I ordered a skirt steak supremo. Drinks are cheap and chips and salsa are delicious. If you haven’t tried this place yet trust me you are missing out on a good dining experience!!

The food was not spectacular, the chips and salsa were like all Mexican restaurants. We had an attentive server. We ordered from the lunch menu, which is not usual for any restaurant to have on a weekend. I must say however that the beans and rice tasted better’n most restaurants that we’ve had. Brought my dog to this restaurant and they offered outdoor seating for us, gave my dog free range of the courtyard, AND brought him chicken and water with no charge. They were extremely nice and exceeded my expectation for customer service. The owner was the one who waited on us and he was amazing. They will get my business every time I am in Minden.

I have been unable to come eat here yet but I heard good things about this new place so I called to make an order. I was craving chilaquiles and Gus said something about those not being on the menu but if I tell him how I want them he’ll make it happen. “I want them red spicy with black refried beans, and 2 over easy eggs, avocado, queso fresco and cream please”

That being said .. this place is just blatantly not good we had a reservation for about 15 so I understand it a bit but long story short I was one of the first people to order and I asked for a beef Taco salad… An hour later I got my salad but it was 98% beans which seemed like they weren’t fresh at all and everyones rice at the table was old needless to say I’m confident this place has such a high rating souly because there just isn’t that many good restaurants in that city to compete with it… But if you see it definitely just keep driving to the crawfish hole #2 or something….. Emily you did a phenomenal job it’s the food not the service

We Came From Texas to El Santito Reatuarant, And we were satisfied with the customer service! The Food was delicious and staff were AMAZING. Habacu the owner made us feel welcomed. 10/10 will be back when back in Louisiana Btw Try The Wine and Tequila margarita is was so DELICIOUS

This place was terribly over priced for less than par tex-mex dishes. Me and the other half went on a whim for the first time. Absolutely nothing on their main menu less than 20. Most of every single item was 30 or more.
They do not have fountain drinks. Only bottles. 5 dollars a pop. We weren’t even served bottles only cans. Were we charged less since we got cans? Nope. We decided to share something because we were not that hungry to begin with. Their steak quesadilla on the “side menu”. If you have been to any tex mex restaurant, you know how big a quesadilla tortilla is. Attached photo is what we were served. Granted this was supposed to come with vegetables of some sort that we opted out of. This quesadilla was around 10 dollars with tax, which we did not pay since we sent this back. We were served basically a normal size street taco. Needless to say, not worth it. The other place up the road will continue to be our normal.
