Great food, the mola sauce is tasty and very different than anything I’ve had at other places. The portions are nice and the price is great. Friendly service too, there weren’t a lot of people so that probably helps.
There is a weird space of tables in the building where the light is a bright white and it lacks decoration so the vibes just aren’t it. If you are seated in a different spot though its no problem

During the holidays we wanted something different and tried Mexican food from El Sabor de Puebla. Located in a strip mall in the northern part of Madison. Plenty of parking upon arrival.
The entrance has a really fun looking bull that was cool . Place is huge when we walked in and very quiet . I imagine because of the holiday season it was less crowded . For this reason we decided to take the food to go .
We ordered a steak burrito ( not pictured ) , tacos with steak and guacamole with tortilla chips and a variety of salsa . The best of the three was actually the guacamole. The other two dishes appeared to be lacking flavor on the meat but most importantly was the amount of food. Too much is not always mean good.
Perhaps the restaurant was having a slow night or I am more of a higher quality ba quantity sort of person .

We love this northside spot for both takeout and sit down meals! We like to go for a late weekend brunch, or pick up dinner here on the way home from work.
My favorite dish is the poblano burrito with steak, but my wife tries different things and they’re always good. Guacamole with chips is one of the best in town.

We met up with some friends for a birthday celebration. I ordered the tamales combo, but received 2 tamales instead. They were very tasty. Everyone else’s meals looked like very generous portions.
The chips, salsa and guacamole were pretty tasty. We had to ask for more chips. We also were not asked what we wanted to drink. We asked for water when we placed our meal orders.
Our friend got a large piece of flan as his birthday present. It was a nice touch.

Was very excited to have more food options on the North side, yes I know Habaneros and Patricia’s are close, but when I heard buffet! I had to check it out, it was during the week, so maybe the weekend buffet would look more appetizing. $6.00 for chips and salsa was a lil shocking but we had to try them out. I thought my steak would have been thicker but… Anyway I will try again.

Cute atmosphere, friendly staff, authentic music. First basket of chips and salsa was free. Fajitas were good- meat was nicely flavored but would have preferred the veggies to be more cooked, and would have preferred a much larger dollop of sour cream. Gluten-Free tortilla chips not available, as the fryer they use for the chips is also used for gluten containing items (cross contamination). Husband enjoyed his mole burrito, said it’s in the top three he’s ever tried. Paid by credit card via waiter right at the table. Quick service. Will return.

What a warm welcome. Plenty of staff willing to help. Enmoladas con Queso was good. Mole could have had a little more flavor. Quesadilla Combo was ok, super thin. Side on beans and rices are well flavored and delicious…same goes for the guacamole with chip. Super good and HUGE. Only thing negative was it is really bright in here. We will be back to try the tamales and tacos .

Tried this place tonight and it was very good. It’s a nice sit down Mexican restaurant that has your typical menu plus some new items I hadn’t heard of yet.
I had the taco plate, carna asada and al pastor and both were very yummy. Rice and beans were good as well.

I can’t recommend this place. It’s wildly overpriced for very average Mexican food. Family of 5, and after tax and tip, bill just under $100. Absolutely not worth it.
