Today, I visited El Rodeo, where the service was friendly and quick to take my order. The food arrived in about 5-10 minutes, although the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy. I ordered the Polando Al Pastor and would rate the food a 2.8 out of 5. The beans tasted canned, and the rice was dry. The corn also seemed to come from a can. At least there was a fresh vegetable alongside the beans and corn. Compared to other places I’ve dined at, this restaurant does not offer authentic Mexican cuisine. Therefore, I would not consider this a 5-star establishment; it feels more like a 3.3- star restaurant unless they enhance their food quality. The prices for all dishes are relatively high, typically ranging from $12.00 to $20.00. I personally spent $17.49 before tip. If they could lower the prices to align with the food quality, it would be more acceptable. However, the current pricing does not match the low quality of the food. The atmosphere was pleasant, with no real plants, but the lighting created a nice ambiance. Overall, I would rate this place a 3.3-star. improvements are necessary regarding the food quality.

The worst place to order from they messed up on my order so I called speak with the manager super rude he said he can make my order over but he will take another 20 minutes. I’m like OK but do you have my order right this time so that way I don’t waste my time coming back he said yes I get back there. He did not remake all my food I tried to give him the food that he messed up. He only replaced a couple of my items then get home still not right call him back. He hangs up on me. Must I remind you? this is the second time the manager has hung up on me. He’s gonna tell me do you want somebody back or not? I said I’m on my way to get my money. He hung up on me. What type of customer service is that? I don’t care how busy you are. I’m a customer as well. I should’ve never been treated that way. I would never recommend this place to no one if they’re pack your food is gonna be poor service and they’re gonna give you the worst customer service.

Have been coming here for 11 years. Since our kids were really small. Best thing is that the guys all know us. They are friendly and likable.

The food is good, and it isn’t exactly the same every time. Which means you know it’s fresh. For instance, the salsa is slightly different each time… made fresh.

One of the VERY FEW real “mom and pop” sit down restaurants in Whitestown/Zionsville.

Three of the four of us ordered off the lunch menu so the portion sizes were on the smaller side (reasonably sized for lunch, but if you’re really hungry, I’d upsize to the dinner menu). Our fourth person ordered off the dinner menu so he could get something vegetarian. Made for a nice stop on our way from Columbus, Ohio to Chicago. Most items on lunch menu $10 and under. Close to 10 vegetarian options on dinner menu.

I visited this location with my mother and the short bald head waiter was very rude. When we asked him simple things as “Can we get straws” He threw them on the table and I caught him rolling his eyes at my 77 year old mother because she didn’t move back as he was bringing her food.He had a very nasty attitude!!! The guy who had on the dress shirt at the bar was very nice he may have been the manager. I will never visit this El Rodeo again, poor service and food was water down.

Definitely a “must”!

Arrived 40 minutes before closing time and the host was very welcoming with a humble smile. Most places don’t smile at that hour. We were a table of four.

Chips and salsa was immediately brought out–deliciously homemade. Food arrived quickly within app 10 minutes and it was piping hot! Meats cooked perfectly to order, sauteed vegetables still crunchy, tortillas wrapped hot, freshly made quacamole with perfect seasoning, rice was the perfect moisture and flavor and the beans were well worth the bite!

The only knock down in points for the food were the fries for the kids meal and potato wedges for one of the steak entrees weren’t crispy enough. But those are super minor.

The value for this location is super affordable.
4 entrees and drinks for $65–DEAL!
