If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food done right, El Rodeo is a must-visit. I ordered the Asada Burrito, and it was exceptional. It was massive and perfectly seasoned, but the highlight was that they took the time to grill it on both sides after wrapping it. That extra crisp on the tortilla adds a perfect crunch to every bite.
My wife had the Birria Taco plate, which was superb—rich, tender, and full of flavor. Even the sides stand out; the rice and beans aren’t an afterthought here, they are well-seasoned and delicious. Don’t skip the salsa, either! It has a great kick and the perfect smooth consistency—not too runny, not too chunky. We will definitely be back

Delicious across the board! Love the variety of salsa which were so different yet delicious! Birria tacos were cooked perfectly and not soggy like other places. That might just of been some of the best rice that i have had as well! Can’t wait to try their Mole and enchiladas. We will be back!

Well, to tell you the truth, I was extremely surprised the food was amazing and the flavor outstanding. It is literally in my top 10 Mexican places to eat. They have the correct flavors of the old ways of cooking. The meat had so much flavor in it and I’m doing this report while I’m still eating. They have great music, authentic Mexican music. And yeah, Angela was awesom, it’s very attentive. I will definitely be back, and I am I’m telling you, you have to eat at this place. It’s like a hole in the wall off the road, but worth every penny. Enjoy your meal.!!!! Don’t forget the salsa and chips. It’s worth it, it’s good, very good.

Overall, good food and our waiter was friendly. I enjoyed the chips and salsa, but it was too spicy for my wife’s taste, and they weren’t complimentary like most places in Wichita Falls. I would suggest a complimentary option with some milder red salsa. My wife enjoyed the filling of her birria tacos but felt the shell was very greasy. Overall, though, the food was tasty.

The food was excellent, but we did have to wait a while for the food. We ordered the barbacoa tacos with rice and beans and cheese enchiladas with the chili on top. Everything tasted fantastic. There were 3 salsas and wow! They were amazing!

It was a Saturday during lunch whenever I visited. I had the barbacoa burrito (delicious btw) with beans & rice. The beans are a little saltier than I like, but didn’t disrupt the palate, the rice was delicious. We also tried gorditas (mole poblano, barbacoa & rajas con queso) which were all hot and delicious! Tried agua de mango which was pretty good. Overall, I recommend giving this establishment a try. I will definitely be back.
