Stopped by during the Christmas parade and was not disappointed. Staff was amazing and offered quality food recommendations. I had the RVA Trio street tacos which allows you to pick three of their signature tacos. Chef suggested an avocado taco as one of my options, and it was GREAT! I usually stray from the vegetarian options, but that may have been my favorite. The other two were just as good (Chicken Tinga / Olde Town Tijuana). I also had an order of wings (because you got to test the chicken right?!?!). Cook well, seasoned well, and comes with an unique house sauce.The tequila selection was amazing, and I tried a new tequila as well as one of their cocktails. Overall a great experience, and would recommend others to try!

We had high hopes based on other reviews but our experience was disappointing. They were not busy when we arrived with three customers at the bar and two at a table, but service was slow. Ordered chips and salsa and then they came back and told us they were out of salsa. They offered queso in place of the salsa but forgot to bring it out until the end of our meal. My wife and I ordered beef quesadillas but when they came out they were chicken. Meal was also supposed to come with salsa but they were out. We could hear the cook slamming dishes in the back as if he was having a bad night. The food was ok but nothing exceptional. We ordered guacamole with our chips and it was fresh and very good. Frozen margarita was good but they ran out of straws.

Hard to find this place on the internet. But finally rode past them tried for dinner. Tequila menu is crazy big. Didn’t try ant flights this time but had a signature mango margarita that was delicious. Had 3 different street tacos that are huge had to bring two home.
Service is so friendly and welcoming. Will be back to try other items.

Stopped in for a quick bite and a couple drinks, and everything was great. The bartenders were friendly and kept the drinks coming, and my quesadilla was fresh, cheesy, and really well-seasoned. Service was fast, the place was clean, and the overall vibe was relaxed. Definitely a solid spot if you’re craving good Mexican food and a drink. Would come back for sure.

Absolutely amazing place for authentic Mexican good, great tequila selection and amazing staff. Historic Petersburg didn’t disappoint once again. Do yourself a favor and visit this place. I will be coming back often as I live on Prince George. The owner genuinely cares and speaks to each patron asking for feedback.

I visited here from Richmond for a friend’s birthday dinner and WOW, what an amazing experience. The service from Monse’ was top-notch; She was attentive, friendly, and kept our drinks full. The food was hot, delicious, and the portions were great… and the kitchen manager, Wynton, and the owner, Don, checked in on us throughout our meal and are genuinely great people. I really hope this new hidden gem thrives and will be visiting again the next time I’m down in the Burg. FYI, I do not think you can park in the lot next to El Roca, but street parking was adequate.
