Man I have missed this food! Found this restaurant thru Google, so glad I did, salsa was perfect, the empandas were amazing, and the cuban! I have leftovers for days and it was only $25 bill!! I will be back often!!

I’m visiting Cleveland for a family event and was thrilled to discover a Guatemalan restaurant! I immediately wanted to try it out. The presentation of the food was fantastic, but the taste was lacking. I ordered the Parrillada Guatemalteca, which includes grilled skirt steak, chicken breast, a split hot dog, refried beans, rice, and guacamole. The only thing that had any flavor was the guacamole, which I really enjoyed. I also ordered a tres leches, but it was one of the worst I’ve ever had. I was quite disappointed and won’t be coming back.

My photos don’t do this hidden gem any justice bc wow…WOW. I live 2 hours away and would drive back just for another meal here. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, the prices are insanely affordable for the quality and quantity you receive, and the flavor and freshness is out of this world. Their salsa is the best salsa I’ve had possibly in my entire life and the roasted pork in the Cubano I ordered was practically meat butter (in the best way). The Yuca fries were also out of this world; so fresh, fluffy, and crisped to perfection! You can tell a lot of love goes into their food and I will go out of my way to return if I’m ever driving in the area.

Such a nice place to go to with a women’s group. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. I got the Jamaica drink which was very refreshing and the chapin platter for my entree which was very good. I also got the Cubano sandwich with yuca fries to go for my boyfriend and he said it was really delicious, loved the chipotle aioli with it too. I will definitely be back again to try other food and drinks.

The food was good. The steak and chicken tacos were a little dry but still flavorful. The chorizo and shrimp were a little better but the winner for me was the carnitas. The carnitas taco was juicy and extremely flavorful winner winner carnitas dinner. Will definitely return.

El Rinconcito had been recommended to us as a quaint, family-run restaurant serving delicious and authentic food. After dining here I can confirm that all of those things are true. First, the food: if you order nothing else, get the pupusas – they are hearty and flavorful and all around outstanding. I could eat those pupusas all day long; by themselves they made this a 5/5 dining experience. The other must-haves are the black beans (the best I’ve had in Cleveland) and the ejotes empanizados (the cheese was savory and pungent, and the creamy and tangy and spicy elements of the dish harmonized well). Everything else was… fine. The vegan empanadas were surprisingly sweet and flavorful, though the cabbage slaw was bland and the tomato salsa was too thin and watery for my tastes. The yucca fries were unremarkable, and while the mixed grill had good flavors, it was in desperate need of a sauce (also some of the meats were overcooked). It should also be noted that since prices are very reasonable, don’t hesitate to order a la carte.
The restuarant interior was clean and charming, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. I felt bad because we came in right before closing time and were the only patrons in the restaurant, but we still received exceptional service.

Nice little ‘hole in the wall’ restaurant. It was our first time trying Guatemalan food, it’s a bit like Mexican but different too. We had the sampler platter which was good, the guacamole was fresh but not too flavourful. My wife had the Paella which was decent. The pork tacos were great. Overall a nice place to definitely visit once and try!

Very friendly staff. The food is definitely unique, yet tasty. Lots of variety and well worth trying. The price may be a bit high for the amount of food you get, yet not overly so. I definitely recommend this place.
