Got the chicken and rib combo. Came with rice, and a choice of salad or beans. Very good, and the portion was more than adequate. Very pleasant staff.

Nice staff, food was very good and much larger proportioned than you would think for the price. Puposas were like having then cooked at home, just delicious. Reminded me of a place my family would go to in Washington Heights when I was a kid.

Aesthetically its humble and low key but that what I like.

I will be going back.

I don’t live with my mom and she doesn’t visit me as often as I’d like but when I miss her or want more traditional Salvadoran breakfast, this is my place to go ❤️ I get the plantanos, frijoles, and eggs and it’s always cooked to perfection

I did not eat any of the food here. I just wanted to share what the ambiance was like. Walked In with my family for dinner. The lights were off there are only 2-3 tables at the side and the place smelled musty. Just saw some people drinking by the bar. Did not seem like a place for a family dinner.

Came here looking for the type of “Sopa De Res” that reminds me of my mothers home made soup and this place delivered right down to the Chayote. I’ve been here a few times to have the pupusas, and those are always on par with most places, you can’t really mess those up once you have a good product. The soup is very delicious and hearty 10/10 will come back here again.

They don’t call it the king of chicken for nothing. This place serves homemade meals and it’s very affordable. Not a big place but if you can’t fit your party then you can always order to go. The service is also outstanding.

I purchase a platter for $17 with whole chicken, beef rids, plantains and yellow red beans. I got home in had everything else but the rice. Rice supposed to be included. The Plantains delicious. Everything else dry meat.

This restaurant has Salvadoran pupusas that are delicious! The name means The King of Chicken so I’ll try one of the pollo dishes next time. There are plenty of tables but it’s right across the street from a park so I ate there. Be aware that it’s cash only but the pupusas are only $2!
