Staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was phenomenal, including the complimentary chips and salsa. Everyone was satisfied with their food. Left one star down because it was 81° in there while 90+ outside, and the gentlemen working didn’t turn on the air conditioner even when it was mentioned it was hot by multiple patrons. We didn’t even know there was air conditioning until the lady (whose shift just started as we were leaving) turned it on and came out an apologized. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend going here. **Know before you go–when we went, they were not serving alcohol. Only water and soft drinks were available.

Wow! I wasn’t sure what to expect at this place, I mean the reviews were pretty good and the small parking lot was very full, but it was super dark on the outside. But, once you walk inside it’s brightly lit and warm and full of joy and laughter! We were warmly greeting as if we had known the staff forever (yep, our 1st time) and promptly seated. A server, Reuben, was over right away with menus silverware, chips and salsa. He returned to take our orders, but the menu is so huge with so many good choices that we weren’t ready. Soon, another server, Luna, not sure why her name is moon because this woman is a ray of sunshine, came over and took our orders. I love fresh brewed iced tea and Luna assured me it was delicious and she was right! Check out the photo! Our food came and it was hot, fresh and exactly what we had ordered. We had a great meal, great service and an overall great time. I would return here again and again!

If first off like to start by saying this will be my first time using less than a 4 star review. I ordered pick-up for dinner tonight with my wife wile we’re in town. We decided on El Rancho as our voice for the night. We placed the order via online ordering at 6:40 and stated that it will be ready for pick up at 7:10. We arrived and I was notified that almost half of our order was unavailable (desert, glass bottle coke, and margarita) no problem, I can tolerate not having everything in hand an hour before closing. However, soon as I paid, I assume the cooking started at that point at 7:15. With no indication of how long it would take, I stood next to the counter until 7:44, and finally received one Jarritos and the bag of food. When we got back to our room, we opened up the bag provided and my wife opened up her breaded coconut prawns, to find overcooked prawns with no special mango sauce. She proceeded to eat only a few due to the quality, for $13.30 I would assume a little more care into the appetizer and probably could have got better from microwave shrimp. I opened my steak ranchero to find the same quality for my entree, the steak was to tough to handle for my plastic utensils and was very difficult to chew. I proceeded to eat my rice and beans with the tortillas provided. $40 including a 15% tip, I was able to stand next to the counter wile my food cooked after ordering it 30 minutes prior and arriving after it was going to be done. We were able to eat only a few bites of each meal and drink one soda, I am disappointed with the timing and quality of our service and hope if we decide to eat here in the future we will not have the same transaction again. Please see pictures attached to this review for accurate pictures of each of our meals.

Lunch seemed small in size. Should specify on the lunch menu that any enchilada plate you get is one single enchilada. We also ordered verde enchilada and he brought it out without it instead of letting us know they didn’t have any. Same with the enchiladas we got for the kids, asked for beef and got ground chicken. Other than that it was good. Just a little pricey

The owner was very cordial. Dinner and drinks were excellent! The plates were packed and tasty, we had plenty to take home for a late night snack. Will definitely be back again and again!

Humble little place with a a small town feel. Friendly service and reasonable prices for being at the ocean. Loved the artwork on the walls. Best salsa and chips I’ve had. All the food was fantastic, perfectly cooked and generous portions. We were just visiting but would love to have this places back home.

Ate here with the family and the food was ok. What really got us was the service. Drinks took foreveeeeerrrr. Also When we started our order we said we needed 2 seprate checks. When it was time for the check the waiter walked to our table with the check and ripped it in half and handed the pieces to separate people. Then he laughed and walked away. I have NEVER seen this kind of disrespect in a place of business.

So very disappointed! This was our first time at this restaurant and, being it was Cinco de Mayo, looking forward to celebrating with a delicious meal!
