Moving reviews over from Yelp. Haven’t visited again since this was written on 10/24/17:

There seems to be a new genre of food that interests us from time to time. Between the wife and I, it is casually referred to as “shitty Mexican food” and sometimes it’s what’s for dinner.

Let’s face it, the vast majority of what’s available in this area falls into this category. Generally speaking, the Americanized dishes endemic to the suburban strip mall typically define this category and margaritas are damn near mandatory…just like the chips and salsa. If you have any doubts, here’s a quick guide to help the reader discern if it’s shitty or authentic:

If you can order by number – it’s shitty Mexican food.
If the term “Speedy Gonzales” appears anywhere on the menu – it’s shitty Mexican food.
If it’s covered in cheese sauce – it’s shitty Mexican food.
If the patrons in the place are all white and the staff is not – it’s shitty Mexican food.
If you know what you’re going to order before you even look at the menu – it’s probably shitty Mexican food (could go either way…depending on your opinion of tortas).
*Just to be clear…Taco Bell is NOT shitty Mexican food – it’s a few steps lower and is really only suitable for consumption by drunks and college students.

For authentic Mexican food you need to go to a taqueria. We have a number of them in the area and they are very similar to the places in Mexico that I liked the best: devoid of other white people, open-air, very simple menu and family-run.

Now that we’ve got that sorted out, it’s not necessarily a bad thing to crave shitty Mexican food from time to time. This place produced some fully-acceptable shitty Mexican food. I had something from their menu described as two deep fried burritos. One would guess that to be the chimichanga but somehow there was a distinction. I asked for one beef and one chicken. Both were very flavorful and enjoyable…similar to flautas but covered in cheese.

They were out of flan so I can’t offer an opinion other than to say that the shutterstock photo of a dish of flan on their menu looked good.

No stars. Food was cold mediocre. I had not eaten all day stopped for a quick dinner. I was not even done & the waiter was trying to get me to pay without handing me the check. I don’t like to be taken advantage of. All I will say I will never come back again.

It was great! Chips and salsa included. Salsa comes in the pour bottles. They had a small queso for $5 and it was very good.

I got 3 street tacos, steak, pastor, and carniatas. Absolutely delicious!! I would recommend anyone who wants tacos to eat here!

Foods good. Fajitas could use a little extra seasoning at times. Guacamole is not great. But Arroz Con Pollo real good!

Clean little hole in the wall. Quick and friendly service, prices seem fair. Margaritas were good. Chips were okay, sauce was good. Have a super large menu and many specials. And they were open when many other places were closed for snowmageddon.

Steak lunch fajitas were served up hot and delicious. Pollo Feliz was also great. Chips and salsa were pretty standard.

The food was great!!! The service was even better. We were helped immediately upon entering the restaurant. Food was quick to come out and it was delicious. My wife had the Mushroom quesadillas and I had the Enchiladas San Jose. They had plenty of vegetarian options for my wife. We will be dining here again.
