We had lunch Friday 12/19/25 at 11:27am. It’s easy to spot in normal traffic. There is one handicap ♿️ space in the parking lot. It’s easy to navigate a wheelchair inside the restaurant. They have outdoor seating here and allow dogs on the patio.
No wait to be seated. They have coke products here.
K had a cheese enchilada, taco , rice & beans combo ($15.99) with a diet coke. My auntie got the two tacos lunch special with rice, beans ($10.99) and a water. What great deal for the lunch special. I had two beef flautas with rice, beans ($17.99) and a coke. My flautas were really juicy and the rice was moist.
The food was delicious.

Great Mexican food with full flavor (ex: carne asada was seasoned – not just grilled). Excellent abodoba pork! Sopes were still crunchy and firm rather than soggy. Great staff with excellent knowledge and familiarity with menu. Parking could be improved (but most can)

Very nice local spot for great Mexican food. I’ve been eating here for close to 10 years, and although this place has changed its look and been upgraded to a full restaurant with a bar over the years, the food has always been great and remains the same.
They have a patio for outdoor seating and plenty of indoor tables, or you can sit at the bar and watch some sports.
The food is always delicious! I highly recommend this spot. There are many different dishes they offer and no matter what you try, I am sure you will enjoy it.

The food was tasty and was served up really hot. I ordered takeout. Price was moderate/high for the amount and quality. The California burrito roll was good, but I thought there was supposed to be a rolled taco inside; I didn’t see it, but it was tasty overall. The Pollo asada plate was a touch on the dry side but had good flavor. The Pollo quesadilla was of an average size and flavor; not bad but not something I’m raving about. Just these 3 items was about $50 not including tip.
The decor and atmosphere was pleasant and clean. The folks working there were friendly and I was greeted promptly. It was a nice overall experience. My order was correct and made in a decent amount of time. The included salsa was flavorful.
Overall, the experience was good but it doesn’t really offer anything for me that would make me think of this place first when thinking about Mexican food. Would I go back? Yes, but it’s not a “destination” on my personal list of restaurants. By all means, try this restaurant out and support a local small business.

I originally was gonna go to the nearest taco shop and get me a fish taco, But passed by this restaurant and thought I would give it a try. I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga with rice and beans. The burrito was really soggy when I cut into it with a fork all that came out was water and mushy beans. There was a little bit of shredded beef in there so I cut open the burrito to eat the meat inside no flavor all I can say the best thing about this place was the chips and salsa not even the salsa just the chips the waiter asked me how the food was and I told him I didn’t really care for it too much. It had no flavor and he just said oh OK. Well, you ready to pay your bill now? I paid pay the bill even left the tipand won’t return. Nothing about that place was authentic

Great Mexican food done in the hour. A bit slow because of that. But worth the wait. Chile relleno is a must!

Great place if you enjoy waiting. And waiting. And waiting some more. I had plenty of time to reflect on my life choices before the food finally arrived.

This is a friendly, family owned Mexican restaurant. The chips are fresh and the salsa is addicting. My husband loves their cheese enchiladas.
The interior is spacious and has multiple seating areas with cute decor, there is also outdoor seating. I was impressed that the owner was willing to make refried beans specially for me without lard. Extremely welcoming, my hubs new fav Mexican restaurant.

It appears cleaner than most places in Santee..I didn’t like the quality of the horchatcha. Cool to see the customers changed from old Mexican style to white old people and black people ….I’ll try again at lunch time. Hoping Obama or George Bush visit soon.
