After the Lava Beds National Park, we went to Dorris, CA to eat at El Ranchito. We had seen it as we passed through the small town on our way to Lassen Volcanic NP on Saturday.
It is a small “hole in the wall” restaurant in a very small town. The owners have been able to stay in business for 20 years and they had a lot of locals dropping in. So, you know the food is good.
The food, service, and atmosphere were great.
My wife had the Enchiladas and I had the Fajitas Ranchros. The food was delicious and the owners were great to talk with.
We highly recommend this really good place to eat.

The birria tacos were so good! Honestly, probably the best I’ve ever tasted. Nice, family run restaurant as well. You won’t regret stopping in!

Great tacos, out of expectation. I had birria asada and carnita tacos, the birria taco was the best I ever had.Definitely recommend birria tacos if you pass by.

We drove through this little town after spending Labor Day at the Gorge. I looked at reviews and picked this cute little spot. So happy I did. We had carnitas, shredded beef dish, and fajitas. Everything was super flavorful.
