We recently visited El Pulgarcito and had a great experience. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I ordered the pan con pollo, and the flavor was authentic and perfectly seasoned. We also tried the flautas, which were very tasty, and the pupusas revueltas, which were flavorful and a good size.
The tamal de pollo was another highlight—soft, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. All the portions were generous, and everything tasted freshly made.
Our server, Darwin, did an outstanding job. He was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better.
Overall, El Pulgarcito is definitely a place we would visit again. Highly recommended!

Best and most authentic Salvadoran food I’ve had in Columbus. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. They recommended the El Pulgarcito Asado Special and I was super happy with the quality and flavor of everything. I also tried the homemade cantaloupe juice which was phenomenal and so fresh. Overall, I had a really great experience and will 100% be back!

My Son and I recently dined in here Monday night. The wait on the food was about 20-30 mins however we didn’t mind waiting for fresh, authentic & delicious food. The food never disappoints. The restaurant is fairly clean but the communication is lacking. Our server only knows how to speak Spanish. We had a time trying to tell them our order or communicate with them about our order. The young lady who waited on us was very nice but she knew no English so she had to grab someone from the back who does. This is in no way a dealbreaker HOWEVER, the service would be better and 5 star worthy if they did. I think if you’re up front working with customers you should know basic English to cater to your customers. Other than that I highly recommend this spot. They have a bar inside and a nice patio to sit on with lights out front. We are going back Thursday and hopefully we sit outside. My Son ordered the fajita I ordered the flautas both 10/10!

We have come here several times before and the food is always good. However we went today, 12/22, and ordered 2 waters. Our waitress brought out 1 water and 1 lemonade we didnt order. we then ordered 2 entrees on the Dominican section of the menu. Our waitress brought out our meals after a short wait, and brought out the salvadoran verisons of the entrees instead. We were a bit disappointed, but said she could fix it and brought out beans and fried sweet plantains the meal we ordered was supposed to come with.the waitress apologized for the mix up.
We thought all was well till we went to pay. On top of our entrees. Our waitress wanted us to pay full price for the side of beans and the sweet plantains she brought up. To fix our order she messed up!! She stated there was nothing she could do and there was no manager onsite to fix the bill for us? And the cook was busy with delivery orders??? She made her mistake and fully took it out on us. So we had to pay full price for the wrong meals , and as well as over $10 for the items she brought out to try to make the meal we ordered. Will be a whole before we come back here. Was a very frustrating situation.

I think I found a new favorite! It’s a nice Salvadorean restaurant with a full bar. Tucked away in a shopping center whilst offering table service. Inside has a nice theme to it with booths and tables for seating. To the left is additional seating and a full bar you can sit at and also eat! I started off with a mango margarita and passion fruit agua fresca. The margarita seem to taste mostly of sweet n sour mix. I didn’t like that very much. But the agua fresca was delightfully delicious and refreshing. The Pollo Guisado blew my socks off. Perfectly stewed chicken that falls right off the bone. It was stewed in a light tomato like sauce. I enjoyed the fried plantains, simple and lightly crisp. Perfect execution of fluffy rice and the pinto beans were good with the perfect amount of salt. My daughter was boring today and got the kids menu mozzarella sticks with fries. It was a nice size cheese stick and plentiful cheesy. We both enjoyed our meals. We received good service, had a bilingual server and ate some delicious food! Must try!

Latin Americans or Latin American food lovers, you have to try this place! This is our most beautiful recent discovery. You will find so many options on the menu, from a variety of pupusas to carne asada and bandeja paisa! We had the chicken soup, only offered on Saturdays, and saved our lives in this weekend cold morning. We also had a feast of pupusas (a mix of corn and rice pupusas, with great ingredients such as spinach, cheese, refried beans, and chicharron! Oh, jalapeño too if you like spicy ️). We are excited about trying all the other dishes on the menu in future visits. We were told there is live music, karaoke, and DJs on Fridays and Saturdays nights, along with Dominican food. The place is welcoming and clean. Thank you, Vanessa, for serving us, you are awesome! Best wishes to this restaurant.

It was my first time here, and I was very excited about it because of a recommendation. When we asked for a suggestion, they show us the menu. From my experience, the waiters know the menu, and suggestions should be sold, not limited to a few photos, which aren’t clear. We opted for a delicious caldo de camarones a specialty el Pulgarcito, chicharrones for a starter, and for my 3-year-old son, “fried cheese.” The menu didn’t say it was a cheese sandwich, and my son is gluten intolerant (I didn’t complain; we just gave him other foods). Also, the menu prices were far from the final bill, which I didn’t want to complain about.
We waited 10 minutes for a beer and the first passion fruit juice and beer, and another 10 for the appetizer. We were only 2 tables at 3 in the afternoon.
Strong point: excellent flavors. Negative: the service and the difference in prices on the menu compared to what was charged. always update them
