So good! The fish tacos are as good as advertised! You can’t beat $1.19 per taco. The service was fast and friendly. They also offer other deals like 2 tacos for $10. My daughter had the chicken flautas, which were light and flaky. Can’t wait to go back again.

I love coming to el Pueblo. The food here it’s delicious and you can taste the freshness of the food. Every time I’m here I get the fish tacos (you must try) this time I tried something different. I got green chilakiles and a super breakfast burrito they were both so delicious.

2 tacos and a plain cheese quesadilla is $20. Seems steep for this type of restaurant.

The food there was like a little fiesta of flavor into my mouth. I ordered the torta of chorizo which was filled with lots of great tasting ingredients. The service there was okay, but i saw the cashier there put the money into the register, then put on his gloves and starting cleaning the salsa bar. After that he took off his gloves and starting serving the food without washing his sweaty and dirty hands. That was FOUL touching the food after he cleaned the salsa bar. I also saw the other cashier wipe down the counter top with wet and probably dirty rag and after touching our food with her dirty raggedy hands. The place had good music playing. I might go back for the delicious food but not for the poor service.

How do people afford to eat here? Absolutely ridiculous pricing. They are getting away with highway robbery here. I ordered a california burrito with no pico, i also asked for small side of chips and beans. I ended up somehow spending $30. The embarrassingly small burrito was $13.50 — seriously it didn’t even fill me up. The chips were $6.50… FOR CHIPS. Are you kidding me? Also, about a quarter of the chips were still uncooked and stuck together, and were a oily/greasy mess. They’re just the old corn tortillas they don’t use, and they’re charging nearly $7.00 for just chips? The small beans were $5.50. Beans are like the cheapest food of all time. My whole family and friend group have been going to El Pueblo when the only location was off birmingham. We have all talked about the prices have become insane. I can say with certainty, 100% that we will not be going back again. I literally could have ordered door dash from a restaurant further away and it would have been the same price or cheaper. Hugely disappointed. Horrible.

I cannot recommend el pueblo highly enough. Amazingly priced fish tacos that are delicious, and probably the best carne asada ever. Not saying it’s better than your favorite place, but I bet it’s just as good…

Breakfast burrito pretty huge and fairly tasty. Cheap lil fish taco that’s over breaded but not terrible.

It’s sometimes hard to find solid Mexican restaurants in North County that are open late, but this is one of them. Staff was pleasant and efficient, the salsa bar delicious, pickled carrots a nice balance of crunch and pickled. The asada in my Cali B was juicy and full of flavor, the fries fresh, cheese was good. I added guacamole and was happy I did. The tortilla was nicely toasted and the overall size was healthy. Good value in cost to quality. The decor inside is a tad spartan but I wasn’t looking for fancy, I wanted a friendly, delicious burrito open past 9 or 10 at night.
