We had breakfast here five times during our one-week stay in Puerto Ayora, and it easily became our favorite spot on the island. The menu is very diverse—you could probably eat a different breakfast here every day for a month. My absolute favorite were the fruit bowls; they were so delicious I still feel like I’m dreaming about them. The breakfast sandwiches are huge, definitely big enough to share.
They open at 7 AM, which was perfect for our early diving trips. The day before, we pre-ordered our breakfast, and when we arrived our food was already ready. Even when we only had 10–15 minutes, they quickly served coffee and fresh juice so we could eat before heading out.
The restaurant is always busy, but the service is consistently warm and friendly, and someone always speaks English. We often saw the owner and the same hardworking team there from morning until late evening. When I return to the Galápagos, this will absolutely be the first place I visit again.

Nice food and plenty of breakfast options.
We ordered the endemic toast without bacon and the omega salmon — both were tasty and well prepared.
They offer a deal for $4 extra that includes an Americano and a juice of the day. Just note that the drink is only an Americano (no cappuccino or other coffee options included), so I paid extra for a cappuccino.
Service was very fast and efficient. We came early, around 8:30 am, and everything ran smoothly.
We paid 30 dollars for 2 people. Plate Presentation was beautiful
Cool vibes, good food, and English-speaking staff.

During our trip in Puerto Ayora, we had breakfast twice at this restaurant. The food was not only delicious but authentic. They have a very nice atmosphere, great coffee and of course, food. The service was very good too. The location is great, yet it still doesn’t feel like the usual overpriced spots due to their location. I highly recommend the Tigrillo Bowl or the Plantain Tortilla, we also had the Breakfast Pancakes and a Crepe It’s great they open early, perfect for when you have an early flight or tour! I recommend this place for a nice atmosphere and breakfast

Best restaurant in Galapagos, probably the only one that measures up to the highest standards of restaurants in Europe or the US. We were here two times, one for dinner and one for a coffee. Absolutely flawless every time. Delicious food, brought in due time (yes, they proved this can happen in Galapagos!) and even better service, it was a pleasure to eat there. Keep up the good work!

The dishes come in generous portions. If you don’t eat much, you might consider sharing one with someone else. I found the price to be fair for the portion size. The dessert perhaps didn’t feel entirely homemade and seemed a little out of place compared to the rest of the menu. Other than that, the service was great, and the food was very tasty.

Really good. Definitely the best restaurant around. The dishes are packed with seafood, and the prices are very reasonable.

Made reservations for our large tour group and they were very accommodating. Food isn’t anything typical to Ecuador or the Galapagos but it was all very good.

This quickly became my favorite morning spot on the island. I loved starting the day with their latte dulce de leche and flaky ham and cheese croissants. They also serve a wonderful selection of desserts that are as delicious as they are reasonably priced. The restaurant has a nice, cozy ambience that makes you want to linger, whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The staff are warm and welcoming, which makes the experience even more enjoyable, and its location just a short walk from the Darwin Center makes it an easy stop at any time of day. Also they play a good selection of music!

I loved 1835! The vibe is really cool, the location is convenient, and the service was excellent. I ordered an açaí bowl and it was delicious — super fresh, filling, and really flavorful. Would absolutely recommend!
