Still the same #1 karaoke hosted by Bryan & Erin and Kj Ray Ray & Ms Darla alternating weekends. The same great staff. And most importantly, awesome customers like you!

Enjoyed an excellent Molcajete. To kick it up a bit we added spicy salsa and queso. Side of rice, beans with all the extras including fresh avocado.
Prefer this to fajitas any day. Bowl was hot to the end and two of us could not eat it all. Highly recommend.

This is my second visit and the vibe is just chill as my first visit. The service excellent even with a large party that extra wait is sooo worth it.

Overall my husband and I always like this place, and I don’t really have any complaints as the food is always good service good and the atmosphere is okay it’s festive enough but I guess I just don’t rank it a five-star as the chicken is just bland and most of the dishes. The refried beans are great though and the prices are very fair and overall I’d give it a 4 1/2 star but that’s not an option.

I went for Karaoke on last Friday night! We had a blast. The DJ was awesome! The sound was perfect. It seemed that most of the patrons knew each other. A very friendly atmosphere.

When we walked in we stood at the podium and waited patiently as the employees bickered over whose job it was to seat us. As one girl walked by and complained about the mess a big party had left behind at a table she encouraged the waitress to get off her phone to seat us. I think we may have interrupted her break.

Once our food came we had to request silverware since that was missed. Finally, time to eat! As I was getting ready to bite in to my torta I noticed that little pieces of foil were cut in to my bread and there were shards everywhere. Since I didn’t want to sit there and pick it all out I asked them to take it off the bill and we left.

It seems like none of the employees want to be there which makes you feel unwelcome as a guest. Won’t be back soon. Too many negative vibes in this place.

Review for El Presidente Mexican Restaurant
⭐️⭐️⭐️

The atmosphere at El Presidente is fantastic! The vibe is lively and welcoming, and the drinks were definitely a highlight — refreshing and well-mixed. The prices are great too, which is always a plus. My only recommendation would be to eat while the food is still hot, as it tends to get a bit soggy after reheating. Overall, it was a pretty good experience, and I’d definitely consider coming back for the ambiance and drinks!

Salsa was pretty good–not too spicy or bland! Tamale and enchilada with sides was pretty standard. Iced tea was a huge glass and staff was fast & efficient. Parking seemed ample but I arrived shortly after opening. It got a bit more crowded after that.

I’ve passed this place many times as I walk along the promenade by the river. I finally decided to stop in one beautiful evening in Augusta. The patio was about half full when I got there at 6:30. Be sure to go inside to request a table on the patio. The menu is extensive and includes all of the typical choices you have at Mexican restaurants just about anywhere in America. I chose chicken fajitas and an upgraded margherita. Service was not fast.. but it was a nice night so I didn’t mind. The drink was served in a plastic cup which meant the rim salt was pretty much gone when I picked up the cup. The flavor was surprisingly not good. I waited about 20 minutes for my dinner. It was served on a hot sizzling skillet… just as you would expect. The serving was generous but unfortunately had no flavor. The chicken was bland and the peppers, etc. were definitely overcooked. The flour tortillas were warm but also lacking in flavor. BTW, as is typical, you get 3 tortillas but you can get more if you ask…but there is an extra charge. It took awhile to get the check. Note that you may be charged a 3% service fee for using a credit card.
The place did fill up by the time I left and others seemed to be enjoying their meals. I was disappointed but that doesn’t mean you will be. Give El Presidente a shot if you are in the area.
