Edit: Went back on Tuesday for $1.50 tacos and oh man is that dangerous. I ordered 20 asada tacos to share with my coworkers. They have 3 different sauces with varying heat levels. Everything was so delicious I did it 3 weeks in a row. You wont be sorry if you give this place a try.

After going back recently- Dec23 the prices have gone up. Prices don’t reflect the electronic signs above counter. Portions have decreased to laughable amounts.
Taste great but have to purchase two of the and thing to get full. Compared to previously one would be filling.

On my first visit, we went for lunch and both got an entree and a drink. Our meals came with chips and salsa. Our food was delicious and so was the salsa! The chips tasted like they were not fresh and came out of a bag. When we went to get a drink, the only diet option tasted bitter. It was gross and undrinkable! We alerted the employee at the counter and he tried the drink. The only response we got was being told that they would have somebody look at it. I ended up switching to regular soda and my friend’s $3 drink went to waste.
The tables are pretty far from the booth benches. When I went to sit towards the edge of the booth seat, the top lifted up! I understand having storage, but having the seat continually lifting as I sat really was annoying.
I would go back but just get the food to go and skip eating there and getting a drink.

I ordered the two piece chicken dinner. I had sides of Ranchero beans and steamed broccoli. My wife had the chicken burrito. We took out our food and had a picnic at the nearby Easter Lake.
The chicken was flavorful. The sides were tasty and the healthy. The burrito was large enough for three meals.
The service is terrific. The owners remembered our normal order from when they were in West Des Moines. They also tolerate my feable attempt to order in Spanish.
After our picnic, we came back to town and had dessert at Classic Frozen Custard.It was a very enjoyable evening!

We like to food and have been getting take out from then since they first opened on Grand Ave and followed the over to Watrous.
The rice bowls and salads are great. The chicken is cooked well, tastes good and is plentiful. We love the guacamole and ranchero beans.
The black beans are just black beans. No sauce, cooked but not to a soft consistency, they are solid.
Take out orders are hit and miss. Food is good, but a lot of either mistakes or just intentional miscommunication. Ordered flan and tres leches when it was available on the menu – not in the store, no refund.
Ordered mashed potatoes with chicken and for French fries – no explanation, just opened the order and had fries. Ordered kids meals, they come with a side – ordered Mac and Cheese – no side, ordered 2 kid’s burritos one week, no sides, but we did get the two burritos, this week, ordered two kid’s burritos and got one and the sides was supposed to be their mashed potatoes and again we got fries. Ordered their chicken tortilla soup – water with minute rice, dry hard chicken.

Walked in the place was super Smokey from the grill in the back! Then we ordered two steak Tortas and two drinks, the drink machine has no ice. So hot pop and then we we sat down they put are food on the counter didn’t even bring it out to us or tell us it was done. And man the tortas were horrible! Super messy, soggy, way too many onions!
