Pollo Loco is delicious. We go here probably once every 2 weeks. We always get a 16 piece family meal because there are 5 of us (2 adults 3 children). The 16 pieces of chicken, 3 large sides, tortillas and salsa are just right. However, I wish the side salad was filled up more, it always comes half way filled. So getting a large family meal, paying a good price and then getting a extra small salad is sad. The price can be up there, so I go when there are specials on the rewards app or even with coupons that come thru the mail.

El Pollo Loco always uses fresh ingredients. The food is very tasty, almost homemade type. The staff is friendly and attentive, they are really good having your food punctually when you order online, too. My favorite is Double Chicken Avocado Tostada. Uhmm, so good!! And the avocado and cilantro sauces…. delicious!!

I jus had the worst experience, this isn’t my first time at this location and their food is very good, however, the reason I’m giving it a 2 stars is because first of all they forgot the guacamole and sauce for the tacos, but it came with an extra ingredient, a disgusting FLY!!! As soon as I opened the taco foil it was coming out of the taco.

This place always gets something wrong. The previous time I had time to go and brought to their attention their drive thru mistake. This time, a family member picked up the order for me and I’m very disappointed with this branch. I ordered a tortilla soup and the bowl is almost half empty smh ♀️

The food is good, yes. The service? Deplorable. My last visit was the second time seeing Genesis behind the counter. Her customer service skills are non existent, her attitude is poor, & she’s not exactly the brightest crayon in the box. She rang up everyone else’s order but mine, and I had to deal with that dumb computer to place an order. $18 for an 8 piece leg & thigh (chicken only) is absolutely absurd. Go down the street to Walmart Market & get a whole rotisserie chicken for $6. That’s a much better value.

Would give zero stars if I could but they get one star since they refunded ONE of my items at least even though both were pretty bad. So first of all my husband bit something hard when he was eating his shrimp tostada. We assumed it was a tail of the shrimp. but when we complained over the phone they claimed the shrimp comes frozen pre packaged without tails… so I then got up to inspect the “tail” only to realize it was a big chunk of chicken bone. After this I continued to eat a little bit more of my chicken tostada and the SAME thing happens to me. Immediately lost my appetite after biting a bone ! So my question is, how does a chicken bone get in a dish with absolutely NO chicken in it? Was it on purpose?! When we were at the window first ordering, the guy working could not answer a single question and when he did he gave us false info. His responses to everything were “I don’t know” “I don’t think so”… like can you go get someone who does know?! Well he got the lady in charge and she could only give excuses. I don’t. Care if it’s cheap food or top dollar stuff I will always want what I paid for, especially now that mostly everything here in California is stupid expensive. I’m done compromising. Can’t believe people get paid $21 a hour to talk amongst themselves, ruin peoples food and appetite
