Food: Alway a great healthy alternative to other fast food. Chicken, beans, salad, tortillas. Location knows how to cook.
Service: Kim was friendly and her Service was accurate. Place was also clean and plenty of seating.

Twice in a row this last week I’ve ordered the double chicken avocado fit bowl and the quality is terrible recently. Today in particular I received burnt chicken pieces instead of the yummy diced chicken this is usually served with. Not sure whats changed this last week but the quality has been down right poor this last week.

The quality is hit or miss, one day the chicken will be good and the next day it’s stale and old other than that the prices have gotten ridiculous compared to what you get. Take a look at the pictures, that was 10 bucks.

I have to say, usually you go to one El Pollo Loco and you’ve seen them all, right? Well not in this case. I came to this restaurant looking for a quick bite while I waited for a tow truck. I ordered 2 tacos el carbon and 2 burritos with 2 drinks. Before Maria (the cashier) charged me, she told me that if I ordered 3 tacos, i’d save money AND one of the drinks would be free. So she saved me at least 3 bucks.
It was refreshing to have service instead of just a “money taker” working as a cashier. Maria not only saved me money, she also was positive, and friendly. The food was the same quality that all restaurants of this chain offer. Having said that, (and it may not seem like much) Maria really stood out as an employee that goes the extra mile to make the patrons experience way better than the average “I’m just here for a paycheck” attitude. Way to go!!

This is by far the worst pollo loco I have ever been to. I never order from here today they showed me why I never will again. The staff is helpless, when I came to pick up my food and came to find out they gave it to somebody else, all they could say I it’s not their problem and I was left without diner for my family. I advise to never order from here , worst experience I’ve ever had in a pollo loco. Now I’m left without diner trying figure out how to get my money back for something I never received.

I went today at the drive in of El Apollo Loco in Maywood and ordered a 8 pcs meal and got burned chicken! I am very disappointed that I got this meal I couldn’t eat it. I called that location at 7 pm and asked to speak to the Manager on duty and they told me he was taking his brake I was told he comes back at 9 pm from brake… really?? 2 hours brake?? It was not well cooked but completely burned! This was at the El pollo loco on 4501 Slauson Ave Maywood Ca. Do not go there I’m very upset about this.

Drive thru workers have attitude! Ordered a double chicken tostada and a chicken avacado burrito with the side of chips and a drink. Only thing is I did not receive my chips! Worst experience ever! Will not be going back that is for sure!

The quality of food they give you here is not worth your money. These workers are getting paid to do their job but don’t put any effort into it. Save your money or go to a different pollo loco instead.
