Definitely 5 stars! Every time I come here, the restaurant is very clean, even the bathrooms. The staff is always friendly and provides excellent service. I especially want to highlight LEONEL, who is always incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. I’m not sure if he’s the manager, but he truly makes a difference! The food is delicious — perfect if you’re looking for something quick and healthy. El Pollo Loco never disappoints!

My wife and I walked in and the cashier did not greet or smile at us when we walked up to order. She look at us like a deer in the headlights without a word or sound. My wife asked her if she was ready to take our order and she still can’t comprehend on how to do so. My question is to the hiring manager, How do you hire these people that barely speak English and have ZERO customer service skills? We showed her a 8 peice meal deal for $20 with the QR code for her to scan during the superbowl weekend and the incompetent non english cashier choose 10 peice instead even after showing her the coupon, then she wants to tell us that the coupon is not working, we’ll DUH! Sherlock because you put in a 10 piece instead of an 8 peice deal. Even after telling her that she put in a 10 peice instead of an 8 peice, she simply ignored us and had to call her manager for help. You have one job and If the customer is correcting and know what you did wrong, you shouldn’t be working as a cashier. Just plain INCOMPETENT!

My order is frequently incorrect, and when I brought it to the staff’s attention, they were dismissive and gave me an attitude instead of fixing the issue. Poor customer service and very disappointing.

I had eaten at El Polla Loco numerous times in the past and had always enjoyed the experience. But for some reason had not eaten there in quite some time. This visit I considered to be very disappointing.
I don’t want to say that El Pollo Loco has changed that much. There could be many explanations for my experience, possibly when we visited, late Easter Sunday, or a myriad of other reasons. It could even be this specific restaurant. I just was not impressed and am willing to change my rating based on future experiences.
My wife ordered a three piece dinner. The chicken was dry and not very tasty. Could it have been sitting under heat lamps to keep it warm. It was not appealing.
I ordered a bowl, Mexican style. Bowls must have shrunken since my last visit. It was tiny and the chicken was barely warm.

Service was okay. The young man taking my order was robotic. Food came out quickly, however the chicken was very dried out as you can see in the picture. The sides tasted as though they had been sitting for a while.
