Social Profile:

While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco’s delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way – on our signature open-flame grills – then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in El Paso, TX, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.

Stopped on by for lunchtime with friends. Staff is welcoming and helpful with any questions you may have regarding their meals. We had a little hiccup, The order kiosk kept freezing up and wouldn’t accept CASH or credit card payments. The manager apologized and quickly resolved the problem. My group ordered a two piece chicken meal, chicken taco bowl, chicken burrito and flan . Overall, tasty meals. Glad to have El Pollo Loco back in El Paso!

I received an invite for the soft opening and two hours after opening it was already packed. I was greeted and helped with ordering and spoke to several workers and management who were very welcoming.

The smell of the food will encourage you to place your order.

It’s great this chain is opening here since there are similar stores in California and other places. As people from LA arrive here, they are excited to see El Polo Loco here.

The restaurant has several tables which is enough for about 40 people.

Another store may open up in New Mexico but don’t quote me on that.

Come check it out. The store is located close to McDonald’s and it was were KFC was previously located.

The official grand opening is on October 24

01/07/26 Was our first time here. They close at 10, we got there around 9:20 and they had chairs up. We decided to eat there and they were cleaning as we ate. There were a few people in the building when we sat down. Notice one of the female employees with an AirPod make a sound as if she was bothered that another family came in to get food. Nothing special about the food. Manager was counting the register in front of everyone without locking the doors. Big security risk.
I do not recommend.

First of all there is only screen ordering there was no one to help at the counter, this is not is not very reasonable for senior citizens or to special needs people. It’s a bit pricey. I ordered a 12 piece meal. My chicken was dry and overdone at the bottom. Having worked at a grilled chicken place in the past, I could see that Chicken was being left on the grill after being cooked. On a happier note, food is good when it comes to taste. Sides were also great in taste. I was only given pico de gallo(mostly tomato) and guac. They were already out of additional salsas ( I went st 4:40 pm) I can just imagine major food condiments towards the evening….

The location is new and convenient. It was very busy. Noticed very few tables in the establishment. People were waiting around for open tables. Ordering is convenient with counter and kiosk availability . Staff was friendly. Unfortunately the soda machine had no syrup, which was a bummer.I got a salad, the dressing was very watery and flavorless. The vegetables were fresh, and the chicken was decent.

I’ve only ordered for takeout so I can’t really speak for atmosphere but it seems standard for a fast food place.
I used to eat Pollo Loco in Juarez and in Los Angeles and this is just as good! The salads and family meals are my favorite depending on whether I’m sharing or not.
I’m so glad we have a Pollo Loco in El Paso and that it’s really good!

Everything tastes very good and the same as when I would eat it as a kid in California, Highly recommend this is by far the best tasting chicken in town. Not so big due to it being more natural but very flavorful! Only complaint would be the ac is very cold

Being from Cali we have always enjoyed visiting Pollo Loco but this new location that has just opened up for ONLY a week has not been a great experience. It is a small location but we always judge any fast food based on the lobby’s presentation. This small location is extremely dirty. Patrons who want to dine in, will have to.endure.dirty tables and dirty food/trash on the floor. The manager should be ashamed or sends a message that they have no sense of management. Probably would not come back to a restaurant we enjoyed in Cali but not in El Paso, Tx….sad. Kiosk does not allow you to modify minor orders.

On a long drive from LA to San Antonio, I had an opportunity to visit this new El Pollo Loco location. On the most recent conference call, the Company noted the performance of this specific El Paso location (noting above avg sales) so I was curious.

I arrived at this location at 1pm on a Saturday and there were no seats available, I had to wait (I have a video to confirm). I ordered the two-piece leg & thighs, mac & cheese and rice. As for the reviews comparing to LA, I thought the overall experience was just as good (if not better).

Staff were very nice and location was very clean (inside and outside).

Food: 10/10, staff: 10/10

Went to try the El Paso version (had in LA last year). This was bland and dry but the chicken had a nice crispy skin. No citrus notes and chicken was way overcooked to dead dry. There are other Mexican chicken places with better flavor and more reasonable. Was a disappointment. Hope they get better.
