Stopped here for a bite on our way through town to NC and was not disappointed! It’s an “order at the front and take it to your table” situation. We got the #1 and #12 with beans, yellow rice, plantains, and yuka! We also got two of the juices. Everything was delicious. Would have loved to try the pork but I am stuffed! I favorited this spot if we find ourselves back out this way.

This place has amazing food, the best value for a family sized order, newly renovated interior and AMAZING customer service. The chicken empanadas is crispy, juicy and flavorful. We also love their chicken and sweet plantain.

One of my top three Puerto Rican cuisine restaurants. The menu is one of the most authentic in the local area—well seasoned, cooked just right, and full of flavor that will have you licking your fingers and coming back for more.
I usually dine in because the environment is inviting, comfortable, and welcoming, and the staff are consistently friendly. El Pollo Colorao has truly become a family favorite for us.
If you’re in the area and looking for authentic Puerto Rican food, make sure to stop by.

The food here is out of this world. If you love Puerto Rican Cuisine you will love this restaurant. My Wife and I are so happy we found this place in town. It reminds us of the many awesome Puerto Rican restaurants back where we come from in Hartford, CT. Service can be a bit slow (Why the 4 stars) but worth the wait. All the employees are super nice. A Gem!!!

Excellent food and staff!! We recently took a trip to Puerto Rico and have wanted some food from there soooooo bad. I have passed this place 1000+ times and never stopped in. I took my family and they loved it as well as me. My little 2 year old ate almost alllll the Tostones!! The wait was a little long because of a lunch rush (which I completely understand). Even though we were fine with the wait, staff gave us a free dessert to tell us sorry. It was awesome and I am so happy we found this restaurant. We will be coming back often!!

I got the pleasure of visiting El pollo Colorado with my wife after their new renovation and for the first time. I have been living in palm coast for 3 years now and let me tell you that this place is great, the atmosphere if super and the food is excellent like my home land Puerto Rico, I finally got to enjoy a great Puerto Rican Tripleta and it was excellent. My wife tried the arroz con gandules, pernil and Guineos en escabeche, and it was excellent, I testified to it cause i had to try it for myself. The customer service was A+, let me tell you, starting with the gentleman in the front counter to the kitchen staff there where all friendly, knowledgeable about their food and nice. I will personally recommend this Puerto Rican Eatery Restaurant to everyone visiting the Palm Coast area. Feel check out the pictures i took. Great job guys see you soon

The very first time I ordered from this place was over 7 years go. I called from New York spoke to the owner Dennis and placed large order for about 20 people. I’ve was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I just went back today since I’m visiting family in the area. I placed another order and was very happy to see that the quality of the food is still amazing and how well the place is doing. Special shout out to Dennis who I understand still owns the place and has since expanded. The artwork is beautiful.Bravo!

This is the third time I have written a review on this restaurant. We have been visiting this restaurant since 2018. I gave it five stars at the time. It was our favorite restaurant in Palm Coast and we ordered many times and were very happy with the food. My last review review went to two stars. We haven’t been back in quite sometime and decided to give this restaurant another chance. Sadly, my review went to one star; it has gone down hill even more. I am really shocked at how the quality of the food has gone down at this restaurant.
Yesterday, my husband and I got the chicken, rice and beans dinner. The chicken was the most over-cooked chicken I have probably encounter at a restaurant ever. It was dried out, including the drum stick; some parts of the chicken were that over cooked that the meat was actually hard. The rice was a gross and a greasy mess. The rice had absorbed the oil/grease and was dark; it did not even look appetizing and tasted just as bad. Even the beans were dried out and had no moisture what so ever. We threw out most of the rice and beans; it was just to unappetizing to eat. We will not be returning to this restaurant; that is sad because in 2018 this was our favorite restaurant in Palm Coast.
Response to owner: Chicken would NOT dry out in a half an hour! The rice would not become gray and saturated with fat either in that time if prepared properly. Many times in the past, we had leftovers and the rice was fine and was not grease saturated. I don’t know if the same people are operating this restaurant that operated it in the past; but, some thing significant has changed at this restaurant. Sadly, it was not for the better.
