This place is great. Great atmosphere, amazing service, and AMAZING FOOD!! I am a Taco enthusiast and I now found my new sit down Mexican restaurant. Prices are great too. Love the real authentic homemade corn tortilla taste!! And the salsa verde is to die for!! Great place to enjoy a fantastic meal. Definitely going back. Oh, and the California burrito is HUGE and super yummy!

El Poblanito just opened up recently and without a doubt has been a great culinary enrichment for their community.
This restaurant definitely lives up to its name as they serve plenty of delicious and authentic Mexican dishes.
We were very satisfied with the food and the service!
If we were from the area (we are from Germany and just discovered the restaurant during our roadtrip by chance) we would definitely visit on a regular basis!
The prices are fair and reasonable and theres nothing one could complain about.
To cut a long story short: El Poblanito is undoubtedly worth a visit and I bet you wont be disappointed if you love mexican food.

The food was flavorful. I had the chicken fajitas but as you can see from the picture, not a lot of veggies. We also got the flautas and they were good too. They served you chips with 3 different salsas. The agua de Jamaica was bland. The decorations were a bit much with the piñatas everywhere you looked. The only other thing I would mention is the waitress, Megan, did not take off her apron will cleaning the restroom and then continued to serve food with it on. Just thinking about the germs.

I would not recommend this place. I ordered the California burrito and a chicken quesadilla to go. Based on the price of the items I thought I would be getting something that would fill my husband and I up. Not even close. The quesadilla wouldn’t even feed a child. I thought a quesadilla was made with cheese??? I also ordered cheese inside the burrito, not an ounce of cheese to be found. The burrito wasn’t even wrapped up. Very disappointed.

I will skip to the end, yes! You should come eat here, it’s authentic, family operated, the food is magical and we are lucky to have such an establishment in Jasper TN!
On the second day in business, we sat down to enjoy a quick lunch and left more than satisfied, eager to return.
Authentic food of any type requires FRESH ingredients, and the family here uses just that, you can tell from your first bite of the homemade salsa, right up to the last bite of the many options they offer.
She ordered the Chicken Fajitas, with special request, they honored that without issue. Why? Because they make the food to order, there are not warming pots, or pre-made, this is made to order food. She found the vegetable ingredients perfectly done, the spicing tasteful without overbearing.
I ordered the Burrito Asada, which came out delightful. Using steak as the main ingredient, it’s easy to overcook, but this was still tender and juicy.
The experience is not just the main course, the sides are fantastic, the rice and beans so well done. But, listen, there is a magical side order, the Street Corn in a Cup! She says they used a number of authentic ingredients, I maintain they use a magical wand back in the kitchen, because this was literally one of the best I’ve had.
Hurry, in, please. We need El Poblanito to know we want her as a restaurant and that we are going to support their success!

Truly fabulous, authentic Mexican food prepared with great care and love for great food. The sopes were amazing and the various meats are all impressive. You won’t regret eating here. It’s a gem.
