We stopped in for lunch and loves the food.
Good prices for lunch and a lot of food. I tried the lunch special number one with a pork burrito, beef taco, beans and rice. All of it was very good.

Savannah was an amazing server! She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. She checked on us regularly without being overbearing and made sure our drinks stayed full and everything came out correctly. Her positive attitude and great customer service really made our experience even better. Highly recommend asking for her if you visit!

We ordered our food to go. The servers were very friendly and helpful. All of the food was properly prepared and tasted great. They did neglect to include napkins and cutlery, not a huge deal, just a little inconvenient . I am always looking for good pork tamales and these fit the niche. The chips were fresh and crisp and the salsa was tasty. The salsa was quite mild so if you prefer things on the spicy side, you might ask about other options. 100% would go again.

This place is great! Get a reservation if you’re going on Friday or Saturday night. We got there at 5 pm and still had to wait 30 minutes for a table, even though there were several empty tables, because those folks had reservations.
Our server, Brian, was excellent!! He kept all the drinks full managed multiple requests, always brought us more chips and took great care of us.
We were are party of 6 and everyone enjoyed their food. My niece had the tamales and she loved them. My nephew had a special plate of spicy beef and peppers and he loved it. Both had enough leftover for lunch the next day.
My wife had the grilled chicken enchiladas, which she loved! I had the soft tacos, 2 beef and one shredded pork. Excellent!! I’d get 2 pork next time. It was SO good!!!
It’s pretty loud in here, but the atmosphere is fun. The staff has a good time. We have been here a few times and always enjoy it.
The cheese dip is excellent, but $10 is a little steep on the price. The drink prices are high too. Those are my only complaints. But rent and labor cost money. I get it.

El Plato is an amazing place to go and eat if you’re a fan of great food, friendly staff, and supporting local businesses. I’ve been a few times, and every time I’ve gone I’ve always greatly enjoyed my meal, especially the street tacos. I never have to worry about the service either as the staff is very friendly and always a pleasure to talk to, even more so when your waitress is a wonderful and beautiful girl named Savanna.

We thought this place would be a little more festive in decor, but the open brick was nice. The server was amazing!! We loved him. We got street tacos were were pretty darn good, a shrimp plate (and that wasn’t very good at all. The rice was soggy and shrimp rubbery and watered down). Got a fast tamale before our meal and it was good. Their chips and salsa were yummy I just wish the salsa wasn’t so runny.
Overall it was an ok place. We’d come back just to hang with the awesome server.

We were extremely impressed. Food and service was excellent. Tons of dishes to choose from on a multi-page menu. Located in beautiful historic downtown LS. Good menu price point for this area. On a side note, they do have a nice sound system to add a level of warmness to the atmosphere.

The burrito grande was excellent, my husband said.
Their hot sauce with avocado was VERY good.
The waitress was very nice.
(The reason for 4 stars for the atmosphere was because it was cold every time the door was opened. A blower above the door might be a help.)

Dare I say hidden gem in Lee’s summit, or just a solid Mexican restaurant to go to. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the great staff make this an enjoyable place to eat and have a drink should you choose. Come hungry cause the serving sizes are well worth the price

We were in Lee’s Summit running errands and decided to find a Mexican restaurant to each at. This restaurant is in downtown and serves delicious meals. The portions are big. You will not go hungry. The booth we sat at was kind of tight. We were able to move a seat a little for more room. Our server did deliver the wrong check to us.
