We visited on a Saturday at about 3:30 PM. Good food, and alright service. The vegetable quesadillas were fantastic. The chicken California burrito was also good. However, the shrimp enchiladas were bland. We couldn’t even inform our server because she never came to check how the food was. The homemade hot sauce was perfect but we were not informed that it costs over $2. Service needs improvement because the restaurant was pretty empty.

Late night stop and needed a quick bite. Food is good, service is fast and friendly. We had a fajita burrito and special tacos as the night special. The tacos were better than the burrito. Nice chips and plenty of salsa. Would stop again on our way through Winona.

Wow. This place reminds me of Carlos O’ Kelly’s so much, but 10x better. Food wise, the dishes are very flavorful. And there’s nothing you could lose ordering from the menu since everything the cooks prepare is amazing.
Cozy, comfy atmosphere with cool music playing. Booth or table, the service and servers were awesome and attentive.
The drinks were amazing. Don’t forget happy hour here with their amazing deals.
Overall, I’d give them 10 if I could. Thank you El Patron for making this a fun, exciting, and desirable experience!! Worth every penny and worth the trip!!!✌️ ❤️

We had a delightful dinner at El Patron with my family. The outdoor patio had a pleasant atmosphere and is dog-friendly, offering fantastic views of the bluffs. The food was decent, with generous portions at great prices. Highly recommend the churro for dessert! We would definitely come again!

The service here is incredible (even when crowded). Right as we sat down we got our chips and salsa. I’ve never seen a more efficient and upbeat staff – they deserve raises. The food was well priced and what you’d expect from an American Mexican restaurant. My wife and I usually stop by here when we are in Winona. Would recommend!

We stopped there after the football game last Saturday 11/15. We order 3norders of enchiladas and 1 torta. When the food came out the food came out fairly quickly, however there were some issues. 1. The Torta was made with what it looked like hamburger or pulled pork bread. In 99.9 percent of Mexican restaurants the total is made with a Telera o Bollillo bread, that’s it. If theyre not going to use that type of bread dont call it a torta. The meet was in blocks, and it didn’t look good at all. My son said it wasn’t. The torta comes with fries which also not Mexican side. The enchiladas were ok, the chicken was not very tender and didn’t cut right, it was lumpy. Over all it wasn’t a very good experience, we asked the waitress, and she came to ask about the torta, but she didn’t really seem to have much say so about it. She did ask if we wanted to change the plate, but we didn’t want to be rude.

Sat at the bar. Dulce was attentive and quick to get me my food and stayed on top of my drinks. On top of that she was very pretty. If I am ever in town I’ll definitely visit this place again. Food and service were great !

OUTSTANDING food and drinks!! Had the California Burrito, Steak Casadilla, beef taco – everything has SO MUCH flavor – the salsa is obviously fresh made daily – had the El Patron fishbowl margarita and WOW not only refreshing but delicious!! I can’t say enough good about this spot – even the staff who is smoothly bilingual are very experienced and have a great knowledge of the food they serve. Thank you thank you thank you – I’ll be back again very very soon!

This place was recommended to us by some friendly folks at Ford! The fajitas for 2 were sublime. Chips and salsa, a classic. Wish I could’ve had the BOGO margaritas but I had to drive! It was someone’s birthday and a 3 piece band came out to play for them. Highly recommend!
