El Patio serves wonderful Latin food and the service is warm and friendly. I ordered the carne asada and the portion was generous. There is free parking behind the restaurant. I can’t wait to go back and try other items on their menu.

We stayed right across the street and got dinner from El patio almost every night. The young guy who took our order in English was very nice and polite. He brought us water while we waited for our take away without us asking. The food is great and authentic. The prices are good given the amount of food you get. The atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in an actual restaurant in Mexico. We’ll definitely visit again when we’re back in Seattle. As a Greek couple who lives in London, we really loved this restaurant and the vibes made us feel like we were at a cozy pub in the countryside. Muchas gracis por su gran hospitalidad y lo siento, me da vergüenza hablar en español.

Surcharge 3%??? It’s been a nice journey, I’ll miss you. People are lucky when they get 3% back using their credit cards, and now El Patio wants to take that 3% for themselves? I choose to boycott, thumbs down

Parking and entrance in the back of restaurant since the front is on Aurora. Walking in you walk past the restrooms that smell like any gas station restroom. That was my cue to walk out but I was really hungry and wanted food from my culture. Our table was very wobbly and there was no fresh air indoors just air conditioned air which made it very cold to wait 30 minutes to be served. Other tables were served first although they arrived after us. The male server was kind but the older ladies were a bit rude and gave lots of side eyes. Just as we were ready to leave our food arrived all at once which is weird because usually appetizers are served before entrees. We got food poisoning, I ate more than my boyfriend and I puked when we got home. He puked this morning. I’m still nauseous and don’t feel well. Aside from that the curtido was way too salty and everything else tasted fine so I’m not sure if they just aren’t practicing safe food handling or what but boyfriend and I are both sick.

El Patio has that warm, colorful neighborhood Mexican vibe that instantly feels welcoming. The plates come out generous, the flavors are bold without being overwhelming, and the margaritas are solid and refreshing.

It’s the kind of place you go for a relaxed dinner, good portions, and dependable comfort food. Not trendy — just friendly service and classic Mexican dishes that hit the spot.

My name is Sherman, and I have been a loyal customer of your establishment for the past 5 years. I am writing to you today, [Date], to officially express my disappointment with the disrespectful service I received, which was completely out of line with my previous experiences.
As a proud Honduran, I always enter your restaurant with high energy and respect, aiming to support a business that represents our culture. Today, I approached the counter in good spirits, and I initially had a positive interaction with another staff member.
However, when receiving my order of pollo con tajadas, I asked the lady serving me if the food was “made with love.” Instead of a polite or welcoming response, she gave me an incredibly cold, disrespectful attitude. She dismissed me, shut me down, and brushed off the interaction, treating me with utter disrespect.
It is unacceptable to treat any customer this way, regardless of whether someone is having a bad day. As a Honduran restaurant, I expect a level of authenticity and respect that honors our culture and welcomes customers, not hostility.
Despite this unprofessional treatment, I still left a $20 tip, which I regret given the poor service.
I am bringing this to your attention because I value your restaurant, but I expect my patronage to be met with basic manners. I expect management to address this behavior with the staff member involved to ensure no other customer is treated this way in the future.
I look forward to hearing how you intend to rectify this situation.
Sincerely,

After a tiring day, I stopped in for a bite to eat and everything seemed excellent. The food was delicious and just how I ordered! I ordered a bandeja paisa with a few extras, but everything was taken into account. I appreciate the attention of the girl who was there at the time; she made my moment perfect with the excellent service and kindness she provided (I asked for her name, Abigail). I recommend visiting if you haven’t been. I took this photo, but I had already devoured half of it because it was delicious! Thank you, Abigail, and thank you, Restaurant el Patio.

El Patio is a pan-Latin American restaurant that serves a huge variety of foods. Their menu is enormous and they have variations from various countries down south. The setting is authentic and although the menus are in English, the staff here try to encourage you to use a little Spanish when you can which is great. Their portions are huge, prices are good for the size and the quality of food is fantastic. They have a lot of seating inside and it’s kind of a hole in the wall location, so parking is in the back. It can get crowded weekday nights though, so either go earlier or later for dinner.

Food is good, we ordered a few dishes and they were all super tasty. Service is very friendly and attentive. I don’t care if food is authentic or not, as long as they taste yummy but many people come here to dine and leave with happy faces so I think they’re doing something right!
I’ll be back to try other dishes on the menu. Highly recommend it!
