Don Juan’s in Bossier City is an absolute must.
Let’s start with the queso bowl licking worthy doesn’t even do it justice. The tacos are insane, packed with flavor, and you can genuinely tell you’re eating a clean, fresh, high-quality meal here. Nothing heavy or greasy, just done right.
Now don’t sleep on the margaritas… because if you have more than two, you’re definitely not going back to work Worth it though.
The chips were on point, but what really surprised me was the service. Somehow it was even better than the food and that’s saying something. Attentive, friendly, and dialed in from start to finish.
Loved meeting Dan such a great guy and clearly someone who runs an amazing business with pride.
Food was incredible, service was top tier, vibes were perfect. Don Juan’s just earned a repeat customer.

I don’t recall ever having carrots mixed into ground beef at a Mexican restaurant, so this experience was surprising. I visited today and ordered beef tacos with no lettuce or tomatoes,,,,only cheese. When the tacos arrived, I noticed carrots cooked into the ground beef. I asked the server about it, but she wasn’t sure why they were included. Unfortunately, no alternative options or adjustments were offered. I was also asked whether I was allergic to carrots, which felt odd, as carrots aren’t typically expected in beef tacos. Overall, it was an unexpected experience and not what I was anticipating.

We sat outside to listen to the band. We had a large group. Service was a little slow but ok overall. Drink prices are ridiculous. You don’t get what you pay for in my opinion. I didn’t eat but my friends who did, enjoyed.

Around 8:30pm tonight 2/6/2026 a couple of friends, my daughter, & myself decided to visit this establishment for the live music and food. After being seated by the doorway on the outside patio I heard the door open fajitas sizzling as if food was being brought out. The waiter brought out seemed to be a fully loaded tray of hot food (my back was turned) it definitely was loaded because it was DROPPED…it fell on myself and the ground. Plates shattered every where. The fact that we were only told to move to another table and given $10 off is ridiculous!!!! NOT A SORRY FROM ANTIONO THE MANAGER, no empathy or sorry from the waiter that dropped the food, it was totally dismissed as if it didn’t happen. When asked for an accident report Antoino said to call the cops. Cece was very nice and helped as much as she could but the manager Antonio just walked away as if the restaurant didn’t AT LEAST OWE AN APOLOGY. I can handle a $32 bill I decided to go in the first place. The 12 years I’ve had in customer service I would never let a customer leave without apologizing or bringing awareness to the issue that happened. My sweater is ruined and food is still on my shoes.

The meat was overcooked, almost burnt, and bitter. The entire order was wrong; we ordered fajitas al pastor (pork) and they brought steak (beef). We ordered XX beer and it was a different one that tasted like mouse pee. We ordered a piña colada with alcohol and a non-alcoholic wine. Everything was terrible. The waitress was annoyed and seemed to want us to leave. I don’t recommend it.

I have eaten in this restaurant multiple times. I love the food and the people are great. I placed a to go order for 2 Happy plate trios and an appetizer of empanadas. I get home and this is what BOTH of my plates look like. For $20/plate Im more than irritated at the portions of food provided. I did try calling but no one is answering.

The food is always spot on when I go here. I always get the steak fajitas, and they get it perfect everytime. don’t even get me started on the chips and salsa.. the salsa is always different (and amazing) every visit so you know it’s fresh every time.
The service is always pretty fast, and the waiter/waitresses are always friendly and super observant of who needs a refill on drinks, chips, and salsa.

I was with a large group and heard no complaints about the food or anything else. My bean burrito was delicious and they made sure to honor my dietary restrictions. The restaurant and the restrooms were clean, as was the parking lot.
