This place is my son and my favorite place to eat. We have tried many different Mexican restaurants from Vicksburg to Pearl and we keep coming back here. I have other family members that have experienced inconsistencies in the meals they have ordered on different occasions but ours is great every time. We have the taco salad with steak and the cheese quesadilla. Yummy!

I rarely write bad reviews. Typically I understand that most servers and back of house workers may have bad days and try not to let one bad experience negatively effect my opinion.
That being said, my last visit to El Paso in Vicksburg was horrendous and I will never go back. My friend and I went for lunch and they were not very busy at all. The waitress was clearly new, but she did fine given her lack of experience and confidence. We ordered the same dish, the Al Pastor fajitas, and a drink. All fairly normal for a less than adequately managed restaurant. The main issue started when we received our food. The food was brought to the table by our server and another server. It was clearly the wrong dish and we both said as such to the server. Both of them insisted that the dish was correct and that perhaps we were mistaken as the menu may have changed. We both realized it was incorrect but realized we didn’t have time to wait for it to be corrected. Also, the food was good so we weren’t overly concerned about the mistake.
Then about 10 minutes into eating our meal, a manager came out with the correct dish, the dish we had ordered. She told us that there had been a mistake and that what she had was the proper dish. She then berated us for having eaten some of the other dish (10 minutes later!) and said that it would be fine, she would just charge us for both dishes. We said ‘No we are happy to pay for the dish we got, but we don’t want the other food and we won’t be paying for it.’ She again became very aggressive and threatened to charge us for the salad plate that had been brought with the meal, the tortillas that were brought, etc. Anything that was not included with the meal we were mistakenly brought had to be paid for she said. When we again refused, she snatched the plates with the salad off the table and stomped out with the salad, the correct meal, and my silverware. When the time came to check out, she had charged us for the more expensive meal anyway.
This is far and away the worst response from management at a restaurant I’ve ever seen. There is no excuse. We were not aggressive, unreasonable, or disingenuous. Her anger was misplaced and while I can understand the frustration, to be so aggressive and petty with customers who made the best of a bad situation is unacceptable. I will not be back, which is sad because I do truly enjoy their food. Unfortunately the food at this price is not worth the possibility of ever having to interact with that woman again.

Have gone twice…swore to never return. The first time was late, but an hour before closing. Server took nearly 20 minutes before they came over (even tho they weren’t busy), when they finally came we ordered our food and drinks. Now that I knew who our server was, I was able to watch him; and noticed he went to talk to other servers and hang out before even getting our drinks. Our drinks didn’t even come out until a minute or two before our food did. Food was OKAY, nothing great. Was disappointed with this visit but gave them a second chance..service was a bit better, more quick but that wasn’t hard really..food was just bland tho, and honestly the plate was hotter than the food. Won’t be back, and I’m surprised they’re still open. These 5 star reviews must either be fake or delusional. Everyone I know that actually likes Mexican dislike this place.

The service team really make the experience here. They are well versed in the menu and do a great job getting your food out in a very timely manner and really making you feel like your home away from home. They even speak Spanish. As for the menu, be prepared to narrow down your choices as it is vast. I feel confident that whatever you decide will be fresh, cooked to perfection and delivered to your table in a timely manner and faster than if you stayed at home. If you go early they have a happy hour and drink specials. The chips they serve while your waiting on your meal are divine. Just try to save room for your dinner or lunch and if possible, order the desert. The prices are good and if you are dining with someone else they don’t mind at all if you share a plate. I thoroughly thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here and can’t wait to visit here again. Thank you El Paso Mexican Grill!

It was great! We had a great server. Unfortunately for Vicksburg, it was his last day. He is relocating with the company. He had a great personality. He joked with us. I asked him to name all the stuff on the El Paso platter. Then my wife told me to name them…he laughed with us. Food is always FAST and HOT. Place is clean. We have been several times and we will be back.

Horrible service and horrible food. Sat at the bar my bf order was wrong had to get it redone then instead of just apologizing and fixing it they took my meal that they said would be a plate cause I couldn’t find it, and made the entire plate separate items. And didn’t tell me they would do that. So mine ended up being like $35 or more for a plate and one beer. I was charged separately for A burrito a enchilada a side of beans and a separate side of rice then charged for a large cheese dip. A bottle beer was $5 that was the worst place I’ve ever eaten. Never will be back and this place could close and be better off. Spent $70 on 2 regular plates of food and a few bottle beers not even draft. Again instead of telling me I would be charged separately for everything they still did it after she told us it would be a regular plate since I couldn’t find it. First time going and never will I go again. Even if I didn’t like the food we always tip well but since she wanted to add all those little charges on our bill to make up for her mistake well

I really enjoy eating here. We have started making this our Sunday hangout and we always receive friendly service. Last night we were asked about the others who usually join us. Very thoughtful! The food is good, but not Tex-Mex or street type food. It is an American version, however they are always accomodating with our special requests, so dont hesitate to try it- regardless of your taste.
