Got their delivery chimichanga with chicken, and it was okay, probably would have been much better eaten in the restaurant as it cooled down, the cheese got stiff and the crispy fried tortilla was no longer crispy. The standard Mexican sides suffered the same fate and the queso dip, while looking delicious was a brick. I microwaved it for 30 seconds and it was back to great. I’m sure there are delivery options like ceviche that are great delivered but fried is okay, not great but okay. I’ll try inside next time.

Skinny margarita- wayyy overpriced and mediocre. Salsa- nothing special, chips -no bueno, bean dip yea i liked it. I ordered from the “authentic” menu, it turned out to be a giant bowl of ceviche. Boring entree but would make a great appetizer for 4+ people.

Been here twice and both times were amazing! Luis, our server, was so polite and made sure we always had full cups. The food and drinks are made well, and I will say that since moving from Colorado, this is the closest we’ve got to finding authentic taste. El Paso actually tastes like they make their sauces from scratch, and they don’t drown their burritos in canned cheese sauce like most other places. The portions are huge and always delicious! Definitely recommend their pork carnitas and margaritas!

Great authentic Mexican environment. We enjoy coming here with family and friends. Food is always delicious. Staff is quite friendly as well. Prices are just like most Mexican restaurants affordable as well. Preparation time may take a tad longer than some other places in town. Nonetheless, portion sizes definitely make the wait time worthwhile. We never could finish our entrees at one take. Often or not we end up taking our leftovers home and eat them next day for lunch as if we went there twice (for dinner and lunch). By the way they also offer a military discount, which is always a great thing to see when businesses showing recognition for our service men and women! All in all I can’t recommend enough El Paso restaurant if you’re looking for an authentic Mexican cuisine around town.

We have been going to El Paso at Mary Ester for many years, but no more. In the past, we have experienced some service or food issues. But, we would wait about a month then try them again. Normally, they straightened things out but not this time. Last month we ordered a shredded chicken taco salad that was not edible. From what we could tell, they used chicken out of a tin can (like the small round tuna cans), then shredded it, and over salted it. So, we waited a month to try it again. Needless to say we did not order any shredded chicken. The meal started bad when the waitress brought out stale chips that seemed like they were microwaved. They were so thick and chewy you could not eat them. We asked to have them replaced but the waitress said that’s all they have. We couldn’t eat them. We also heard the other customers complaining about it. Additionally, when my beef taco salad was served, the shell was the same… thick, chewy and not edible. I brought it to the attention of the waitress. She said it was not her fault. So, we just decided to get the check and leave. You have many great employees there so I can’t understand why you would serve food like this. Unfortunately, that’s our last time we’ll enter your restaurant.

Traditional and colorful Mexican decor and Cantina Vibe. Quiet but pleasant Latino popular music playing in the background during a 5:00 p.m. dinner on a Thursday evening. Upon arrival, our party of three was immediately seated and drink order taken. The menu contains endless choices—recommend previewing menu prior to arrival. The entre choices includes the trendy “Chilaquiles”. I ordered a “Steak a La Mexicana” which contains tender and savory flank steak and served with delicious sides of rice, beans, salad, and warm corn tortillas—extremely delicious and satisfying plus the Margarita on the rocks proved a delightfully fresh pairing for the perfect meal. A big thanks to our waitress and server, Jessica—her friendly and happy demeanor enhanced our excellent dinner night out at El Paso Mary Esther

I visited this restaurant a year ago and decided to return recently. Once again, it was a pleasant experience! This time, I ordered the fajitas tejanas, and they were very delicious. The horchata was just as tasty as I remembered—definitely a highlight.
My daughter got the chimichanga and loved it, and the rice was good as well. We also tried the flaming queso; it was alright, but nothing to rave about. One area for improvement is the salsa—it’s not spicy at all, so adding more heat would definitely enhance the flavor.
Overall, I still enjoy the restaurant’s decor and atmosphere, and I’d recommend it for a nice meal with a few small tweaks. Looking forward to trying dessert next time!
